Tomorrow marks the fourth year since Otto Zehm was beaten by local police, a confrontation that led to his death. This fatal meeting will be remembered tomorrow at the very location it took place in an event organized by the Peace and Justice Action League of Spokane and the Center for Justice, among others.
Beginning at noon at the Zip Trip at Division and Augusta (1712 N. Division), participants will be carrying signs and calling city council members, urging them to pass an ordinance that would give the police ombudsman independent investigative powers.
