The Reddening, cont.: French's lead over Mager shrinks

Posted on Fri, Nov 5, 2010 at 4:17 PM

Some 15,000 more ballots were counted today at the Spokane County Elections office and — you'll never guess — Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich won!

Oh, that's right. He was unopposed.

But in real news, the race between County Commissioner Bonnie Mager and Al French tightened after this ballot dump, with French's lead shrinking from about 1,700 votes to 1,124. And they still have 55,000 ballots to count.

The! Suspense! Is! Killing! Me!

And, just like yesterday and the day before, the Republicans successfully took over the nation this year. Historic!

Or maybe not that historic:

Yes, that was Sen. John McCain saying something like that would never happen again in his lifetime... 16 years ago! And it happened again this week!

And, for all you bummed out Democrats, nurse your wounds with this salve, an article on Slate today claiming a Democratic victory this year. Yep, I wrote that right.

And, lastly, really Keith Olbermann? I don't care if Fox News did it. Ah well. You're kind of an a-hole anyway.
