To the 3 girls sitting right behind us on Thur. Jan. 6 at the 6:30 showing of The Black Swan at Riverpark Square: One of you kept laughing really loud at the uncomfortably intimate scenes of Natalie Portman, and saying "Oh my God" and other things that can't be printed about what she was doing on screen. Well, this is in the "Cheers" section for a reason, because my sister and I thought you were REALLY funny! The rest of the audience I don't know about, but you had us rolling. Thanks for making us laugh during a very disturbing movie, we enjoyed your outbursts! I wanted to tell you afterward that you made our night, but was too shy.

I know that your life is busy and hectic. I know that (as with college) you must go out and make your place in this world. But I need you to know that you have someone waiting here at home, wanting only to care for you: to love, support, and walk through life with you; to always be your girlfriend, (there will never be a time that I am not desirous of you); to make your home (laundry included); and (should you so desire) to carry, bear, and mother your child(ren). I can only hope that you will care for me again, as you cared for me once before. Bella

Cheers to all the beautiful people who honored Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. at the Unity Celebration in Spokane. I wonder if the backpack bomber was there among us. Was that you standing near me surrounded by the best and the brightest young people? Was it you I said "hello friend" to? I hope you made a conscious decision not to set off that bomb. I hope you felt a part of the day and changed your mind. Our numbers will continue to grow. You helped us realize there is still more work to be done.

A huge cheers for Dave and Steve Hill. You were a hit before but now that you have been on Diner's Drive In and Dives you are in a whole other league. The league of awesome food! We locals always knew that your food was great, but now the whole nation knows. Good luck in the future. We love you!

To the lady in the white car driving through the Arlington Elementary school crossing on Francis, Wed. morning the 19th at 8:40 a.m. You were too busy talking on your cellphone to notice that after the kids had crossed, traffic was not moving because the crossing guard was frantically trying to catch a a small white dog running in the street. A dog which you HIT in front of all the small children who were concerned about its safety as you drove merrily away chatting on your cellphone. That could have easily been a child you hit instead of a dog. You are a self-centered idiot and precisely the reason why using a cellphone while driving is a crime.

Jeers to the crabby older man in the white Jeep Cherokee on Jan. 13th who saw fit to honk at my daughter as she tried to navigate a left hand turn onto Lyons Ave. on her way to her first drive test. She was so full of nerves & excitement! What did she do wrong? Not turn fast enough for you! So what did you do next, pull up to the right side of her at the next stop as she was trying to make another turn left to the Dept. of Licensing and honk at her again and flip her off! You weren't even in the same lane! She wasn't speeding or breaking any rules! Just driving a bit cautiously and slow. Wow, a teen trying to be responsible behind the wheel! Is this how you treat your Granddaughter? Shame on you! Really, she is seventeen, how well did you both drive at that age? I'm guessing you are still not doing so well because you cannot even handle a young slow teen driver with grace and a sense of humor! By the way, she was able to put your behavior behind her enough to pass the test, so be warned, my cautious, responsible, kind 17 year old, will be out there driving with you older, imatient, somewhat mature adults! Good luck!

What's with the ridiculously stupid questions in the "On the Street" sections of the last two editions of the Inlander? "What's your ideal snowman and describing your dream house?" Really?!?! Who cares? I certainly didn't want to read the answers to those questions. Can we get something more relevant please? You guys are writers for crying out loud!! Give us something interesting to read!!

To the male individual that believes throwing a woman out of the house they rented together, and destroying hers and her 8 year old daughters belongings is somehow right, needs to get a clue. After she took good care of you, supported you while you were going to school, loved your children as if they were her own, then saved your sorry ass after you were arrested, only in return did you try to replace her and destroy her promise to her 8 year old little girl. You are one piece of work and I want you to remember this. You may attend church every week, but it's gonna take more than a prayer for you to be fixed, but she will make it through all the crap you've dealt her.
