MORNING HEADLINES: More Toilet Paper Than You Could Ever Want

TP Trouble —The Lochsa River near Lewiston, Idaho resembles a backed-up toilet after a semi-truck dropped a giant roll of toilet paper into it. Police say the paper's pulpy texture is making it hard to clean up the river. (KHQ)

Sewer Spike —Speaking of toilets, the Spokane City Council is considering raising the sewer rate by $6 a month next year. They say the increase is necessary to meet state and federal guidelines that will prohibit them from dumping raw sewage in the river by 2017. (SR)

Murdoch Pied — News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch gave testimony to a British parliamentary committee investigating the News of the World phone hacking scandal. It was a somber affair, one that Murdoch called "the most humble day of my career." And then he got pied. (Seattle Times)
