TODAY IN LUNCH: The dangers of instant soup

Posted on Mon, Dec 5, 2011 at 12:12 PM

We're poor and overworked. What can we eat that's cheap and quick?

Instant soup, of course.

But, what?! NPR reports today that "burn doctors hate instant soup."

"I don't have them in my house," Dr. Warren Garner, director of the burn unit at University of Southern California's County Hospital in Los Angeles, told the national broadcaster. "I would say that we see at least two to three patients a week who've been injured by these products."

Good God, that soup looks dangerous.
