All you poets, spoken word-ers and writers of fiction and nonfiction are in for a treat this week as Amy Everhart, 2009 Individual World Poetry Slam Champion (the first woman to claim the title, we might add), makes an appearance at Broken Mic. Read our story about it here.

Everhart is a four-time member of the Denver Mercury Café Slam Team, legendary in the poetry world, and a one-time member of both Denver Slam Nuba and the Portland Slam team. She has been published in several Denver poetry anthologies and has also authored three chapbooks and one CD of poems.
