Stand at the base of Aftershock and try not to be intimidated. Many roller coaster fans have seen the metal giant and backed down from its monster intensity, too scared to take on the thrill ride. The roller coaster opened at Silverwood Theme Park in 2008, and now, it's getting national attention through The Travel Channel.
The television show Insane Coaster Wars profiles the best 24 rides around the country, and Aftershock was classified in the "Hang 'Em High" category (meaning that your feet dangle while racing along the track) and won the most supreme title of the division.
It's nice to know that we're afraid of one of the scariest roller coasters out there.
