MORNING BRIEFING: Trial for 11-year-old murder plotter begins, VA doctor suspended and it's Friday, Friday

The trial has begun for an 11-year-old Stevens County boy who conspired to rape and murder a female classmate. (S-R)

Dr. James Lovett, the chief of surgery at Spokane's VA Medical Center, has been suspended over allegations that he operated on patients without having them sign consent forms. (KXLY)
