Spokane honored its veterans with a ceremony held at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena on Monday morning. Speakers acknowledged the sacrifices made by the men and women in the U.S. military. Gold Star Mothers laid a wreath to honor deceased service members and members of the Spokane Area Veterans Honor Guard gave a 21 gun salute. Others honored veterans by visiting the Washington State Veterans Cemetery, to remember veterans who have passed away.
