MORNING BRIEFING: Nurses get locked out, a car explodes

Schools in the North Idaho town of Athol were postponed this morning after some idiot fired a gun at cops, crashed his SUV, caused a fire and ran away — before being caught. (KXLY)

Speaking of idiots, a guy lit his car on fire last August while trying to "extract THC from marijuana" with a butane lighter. And he's being charged since he had his daughter in the car. (KREM)

It is going to get really, really, really cold. We're talking some serious wind chills for the next few days. (
