Tool coming to the Spokane Arena

Posted By on Tue, Jan 21, 2014 at 11:12 AM

The Spokane Arena's recent slate of impressive concert bookings didn't end with 2013. They made that loud and clear this morning by announcing that Tool is coming to the Spokane Arena on March 4.

Tickets go on sale on Saturday at 10 am. And if you're one of the band's many, many hardcore fans, you're going to want to jump on that.

Tool has been here before — the L.A.-based prog-rock band played in December of 2007, also at the Arena.

I met with the Arena's administration last week about all the solid concerts they had to close out 2013, which included shows by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Nine Inch Nails, Zac Brown, Bon Jovi and, of course, Pearl Jam. Several of those sold out and the Arena knows they've got something going here.

Look for an article about the Arena's vision for the venue in an upcoming issue of the Inlander.

In the meantime, check out this video of Tool playing in Spokane back in 1992. We think the venue was the long-defunct Gatsby's. Anyone out there see this show?
