Dallas protest sniper, courthouse evacuated, headlines to end the week

Dallas in chaos
Snipers in Dallas killed five police officers and left other wounded in an attack on a peaceful protest. The demonstration was organized in response to a pair of police shootings, one in Minnesota and the other in Louisana, where black men died at the hands of the police. One of the shooters in Dallas said he was upset about the shooting and “wanted to kill white people, especially white officers.”

Haz-mat package closes courthouse
Spokane County courthouse was closed yesterday after employees reporting feeling sick after opening a package. So far, authorities don't know what caused the sickness. 

Labrador: Trump should pick Cruz as running mate
Idaho Congressman Raul Labrador has called on the presumptive Republican presidential nominee to pick his former rival Texas Sen. Ted Cruz as his running mate.  Cruz has agreed to speak at the GOP convention later this month. 

State Department to reopen email probe
After the FBI declined to bring charges against presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton for her handling of sensitive emails while serving as secretary of state, the U.S. State Department has indicated it will take another look into the matter. 

Encouraging jobs report issued
The U.S. economy added 287,000 jobs, giving some relief to anxiety that hiring was slipping.
