NEWS: Craig Meidl, who was not one of the two candidates for police chief after a lengthy selection process, was chosen by Mayor David Condon as the next police chief anyway. 
NEWS: This one cop is glad the Straub report revealed the havoc the former chief wreaked on the Spokane Police Department. 
MUSIC: Ringo Starr and the All-Starr Band will stop at the Spokane Arena's Star Theatre for a show on Oct. 16.
