Re: Bloomsday

Red starting area; black shorts; white vest. Not sure if I am the one you saw as w/50K people, that could describe at least 1/2 of the women running, however I was pushing my grandtr.in a stroller & my youngest daughter walked w/me. I am single. I did finish & was bummed I couldn't run. Lunch is hard to do (wk schedule), however could meet you sometime for a drink.

I'm not perfect. For example, I have an unhealthy obsession with Neato's nachos. I don't recall this encounter, but I'm 93% sure this is me. Just watch out...I'm a minx cat.

I'm thinking this might be for me & I am telling you that I am going to start looking around for a tall skinny guy with a baseball hat & possibly a grey coat. If you see me - come talk to me,  I'd be up for getting some coffee & meeting you

Maple Street Bridge

Posted on Sat, May 21, 2011 at 8:32 AM

Jeers to all of you idiots that don't know how to merge going north onto the bridge from Riverside. You come to a stop? Really? The speed limit on that bridge is 45 mph. Do you stop trying to merge onto I-90 too? Learn the simple art of merging or take another route. You're going to cause an accident due to being a merge challenged idiot.

Just Plain Rude

Posted on Sat, May 21, 2011 at 8:31 AM

Jeers to the EWU student who acted a complete fool at the religious demonstration in front of the PUB at EWU on 5/9. The way you conducted yourself in public was completely boorish. We can all agree that the preacher's views were radical & non-traditional, but that is no reason for you to shout & forcefully present your opinions to others. An EWU administrator had to approach you & ask you to stop. Articulate? No. Outspoken and just plain rude? Yes.

Directions

Posted on Sat, May 21, 2011 at 8:30 AM

First, a Cheers to all who participate in walks/runs for charity causes. But, a big jeers to the organizers for allowing people to spray-paint arrows on public & private walkways! Do you have any idea how much work it is to clean spray paint off sidewalks? Probably not, since you never come back to clean up after yourselves. Each arrow is an hour of scrubbing with eco-friendly solvent. Don't even ask how hard it is to get paint off a wooden bridge or boardwalk. From now on, use duct tape, & please, be considerate & send someone around after the race/walk to take the tape off after the event is over!

Shadle Litterers

Do you think nobody noticed you throwing your trash about the park by the water tower? You students need to remember that your open-campus lunch is a privilege. If you aren't going to take care of our planet, maybe you don't deserve this freedom.

Car Valuables

Posted on Sat, May 21, 2011 at 8:28 AM

Jeers to the Inlander for posting the same Jeers every week. Wahhhhh my car got broken into, wahhhh my purse, my wallet my cell phone, my iPod etc, was taken. Here's a thought don't leave valuables in your car where people might see them! Sure you may know it's a brand new purse that hasn't been used yet & has nothing in it or it's really just a diaper bag or the cell phone is broken anyway but a thief doesn't & chances are, he doesn't care! He can probably still make a buck off your stuff. Just about everything is for sale including your college text books or your work uniform. So lock your cars, hide anything that might even remotely be of value to someone else & quit your bitchin'.

Dog Walkers

Posted on Sat, May 21, 2011 at 8:28 AM

It is not okay to let your dog poop all over the grass on Summit Blvd. Not only does it look & smell horrible, dogs carry worms, diseases & parasites that your dog will pass on to all the other dogs in the area. I walk my dog everyday over there & always clean up after her because as a pet owner it is my responsibility. There are always bags in the post that are free to you. I am begging you to please pick up after your dog

Jaywalker's

Posted on Sat, May 21, 2011 at 8:26 AM

Jeers to the person who wrote in bashing pedestrians & our "jay walking." Did you know that in Washington State crosswalks can be both marked & unmarked? Every intersection is considered to have a crosswalk from curb to curb. Motorists must yield to pedestrians. Shame on you for trying to make us feel bad for commuting to work on foot & doing something for the environment (& to maintain good health!) while you sit in your gas guzzling SUV & snack away on your McDonalds.
