LUKE BAUMGARTEN

Luke Baumgarten is The Inlander's Arts and Culture Editor. In three years with the paper, he has covered the local music scene extensively, also writing about youth politics, art marketing, unionizing film crews, minor league baseball players, YouTube celebrities, aspiring break-dancers and Christian environmentalists. He once spent three weeks trying to lose as much weight as possible on a New Year resolution dare, serializing the experience over four issues. (He lost 17 pounds in 21 days, if anyone wants to race). He has been published in Philadelphia Weekly and has a recurring television column at the San Antonio Current. Luke has won a number of writing awards, but has almost no facial hair — a tradeoff he is learning to accept.
