Good on you David!
Nice... Still love to pull out the old vinyl and take it for a spin. I'll have to stop by!
Congratulations David!!!!! Lots of love and success to you!!!
*sheepishly* I remember FireHouse, Danger Danger and Britny Fox. And Bang Tango, BulletBoys, Junkyard, Dangerous Toys, Kix, L.A. Guns, Faster Pussycat, and on and on and on. Loved it, and still rock out to it occasionally.
At some point self destructive hedonism is no longer brash youthfulness. It's old, tired and creepy. Better to burn out than to fade away. Retiring the band is the only way to avoid self parody.
Mudhoney actually played in Spokane once before that fateful night in 1991. Their first Spokane appearance was in October 1989 at an all ages club called 123 Arts.
its a relief that people still posting good things even without them telling to do so, thanks for the article, I surely enjoyed reading it!

Bartfest! 90 bucks, what a joke! try supportting NW music(Seattle, Portland, Spokane) and then you don't have to charge so much to pay some band from New York thats a no name. The local bands have a following that would bring in customers and business.
Anxious to hear Bob Curnow's band tonight, at the Big Dipper, and to see how the band sounds in this room. For those unfamiliar with the band, it is comprised of pros only, and it is amazing they they are all close enough to Spokane to get together. U of I, EWU, Gonzaga. We are lucky, and there's nothing quite like this band even in Seattle that I know of.
Great article on Rich! The only thing I'd note is that Masonic Auditorium has been a long time great venue for big rock and blues shows - many of the great bands have played there over the years with great sound! :) Can't wait for this concert!
Why no labels on the photos? Who is who???
This guy has a suitcase full of street cred.
Nice article! see ya' there tonight!
I can't find any additional photos or videos on this site.
Not really a huge fan of that style of music but ya, WOW.. TOOL TIME I am embarrassed that this writer has a platform in the Spokane area
WE AS HUMAN is the SHIZZZZZZzzzzzzz!!!!!!! Love that band
You would think that The Inlander would want articles being written that compliment our locals' achievements.. It is funny how you can literally tell that writer Jordan Satterfield has a big chip on his shoulder toward this band. Could it be directly related to the fact that he is in a band himself, and hasn't made it anywhere in the music scene?
I don't understand how you (Jordan) could be so ignorant as to the National success of this band. They have achieved incredible notoriety in the Mainstream Rock market, not just the Christian market. There aren't but a few bands who have ever been able to do that as successfully as they have. I am proud that a local band has finally broken the musical tomb that is the Spokane music scene and gone on to greatness! Keep it up guys and don't listen to these jealous hipsters that, if they were honest with us, would give up both testicles to do what you have done! Rock on, spokane loves you!!!!
Really? The aragami aren't spirits. Their a collection of cells known as a oracle cell,…
