Re: “Undermining Our Mayors

I've lived here for 16 years and the Mayor's past have suffered from character implosion. It's so much of a sad joke that the candidates deserve to be vetted prior to running. Where do you stand, Mayor Condon?

Re: “Chief Complaint

How many Senior Officers remain from the previous Chiefs' regime? Was there a ground swell of "these Senior Officers" involved in the Putsch? At least there is a paper trail.

Re: “Some holiday: More cities oust Columbus Day this year

Today, to me is Scandinavian Day. It would be better used as First People (Canadian term) Day. We were brought up knowing we visited 492 years prior. April Fools Day wou;d be a more appropriate National Holiday.

Re: “Some holiday: More cities oust Columbus Day this year

Born to a working-class wool weaver in the port city of Genoa, Italy, Cristoforo Colombo apprenticed as a sailor and went to sea as early as age ten. A self-taught and curious man, Colombo lived by his wits and rose in the heady world of 15th-century sea traders, until he hit upon an ingenious idea: He would outflank the Mohammedan Turks and reach the East Indies by sailing west across the Ocean Sea. After weathering nearly a decade of rejection and failure, in 1492 Colombo won the support of the Spanish Crown and set off on an uncertain journey that inadvertently opened a New World, laying the foundation for that most glittering daughter of the Western heritage: America.

Thats kinda cool actually. Some people never get the chance to do things they want to do. Don't really care if they find it. The journey's the thing.

Re: “[UPDATED] Straub files $4 million suit against the city for due process violation

You call it what you want. I'm not a fan of liars and frauds if that is what you mean especially if they are leading the SPD. As you know when you have someone like that leading a Department, the "untruthfulness" becomes standard throughout the Department. If you don't like what you are reading...just don't bother to read it. I'm willing to use my real name and take any heat that comes my way...but I'm sure you knew that.

Re: “History Lesson: No, Judge Williamson, the Founding Fathers didn’t dream of an unbiased press

Thomas Jefferson had a love-hate relationship with the press, loving those of the republican persuasion, hating the Federalist ones. Still, he recognized that a free press was essential. Limiting the newspapers would eventually lead to limiting other freedoms as well.
He wrote about this in a blog post just last week:…
Several times each week, Jefferson blogs BRIEFLY on a variety of topics, including newspapers. 563 posts and counting ...

Here is a great study to read as well. If you are a leftist, simply have someone explain the graphs and charts to you.

Re: “Dollars and Cents

----> Crime generates substantial costs to society at individual, community, and national levels. In the United States, more than 23 million criminal offenses were committed in 2007, resulting in approximately $15 billion in economic losses to the victims and $179 billion in government expenditures on police protection, judicial and legal activities, and corrections (U.S. Department of Justice, 2004a, 2007a, 2008). Programs that directly or indirectly prevent crime can therefore generate substantial economic benefits by reducing crime-related costs incurred by victims, communities, and the criminal justice system.

HURRAY for legalized dope. ------> U.S. statistics show that more than 50% of state and federal inmates used drugs in the month prior to committing the offense for which they were incarcerated and that more than a quarter of all offenders were using drugs at the time of their offense (U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Statistics, 2006; Miller et al., 2006).

Actually it is far higher than a paltry half a million bucks, I did not want your silly socialist brain to vapor lock. Feel free to read anything not provided to you by your party masters sometime.…

Damn those,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,FACTS,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,getting in the way of your delusions.

Re: “[UPDATED] Straub files $4 million suit against the city for due process violation

It is quite clear from text messages that Mayor Condon did NOT tell the truth about Cotton being booted from SPD. As a matter of fact text messages demonstrate that prior to bot the Fire Department and Parks Department scam there was a battle going on and her access to her work site was terminated. Some interesting stuff in these links. Keep in mind that this is just a small picture of what was going on back in 2014 and to an extent brought us to where we are today. I hope the links work.

Re: “Family Foods

This is an amazing family resort! I've been going there since birth, and have eaten both George's masterpieces and Scott's. Everything in this article is absolutely right on! Still serving award winning meals, hidden away in the most peaceful and tranquil place on earth! You know it's good when so many families have been going here for generations. It should be on everyone's bucket list to go at least once. But once you've experienced it you'll keep going back!

Paul is just Butthurt like most Regressives that the "will of the people" doesn't align with their " Tax and Spend" dreams.

1366 will pass and the Tax and spend Democrats will go Progressive Activist Judge Shopping and have it nixed.

Re: “[UPDATED] Straub files $4 million suit against the city for due process violation

Screwy deal to my mind. How can a bunch of fellow cops simply make a bunch of accusations without details or proof and be automatically accepted by the mayor and be used to fire the guy? Who are these guys and what exactly are they referring to. Certainly they should be able to proof positive. You can't just yell the guy's a liar and walk away. We heard all about Straub, now how about some similar details about the people making the claims.
