Re: “Captain Planet

I'm a Spokane Chiefs Fan and we love him. All my kids have had thier pic taken with him and posted them on FB. One of my daughters even recognized him at Silverwood and asked if he was Recyle Man..... Nice guy in or out of character!

Re: “Captain Planet

Lots of folks trying to make their world a better place one bottle at a time, but not by recycling. Sing together now : "I'm shippin' up to Boston ... ."

Re: “Captain Planet

I have never seen him running up and down the stands looking for recyclables. All he does is play on the ice during intermission. He was putting on a show for the Inlander story. And Nancy is right, no one likes him. Sorry but it's true.

Re: “Captain Planet

Wow negative Nancy. Mascots are part of the fun and Recycle Man is fun. It's very clear from watching him that he works hard to perfect stunts and dances in that costume (which can not be easy). I'm pretty sure he's use to both negative and positive responses but I have seen kids at both the ballpark and the arena dress up like him at games so you get off your high horse. At least he's making a difference.

Re: “Captain Planet

He's awesome ! Recycle man makes it fun for families and kids. We need more heroes theses days and he serves as one. Great at Spokane Indian's games as well. Keep it up!

Re: “Captain Planet

It's to bad nobody realizes that as far as the Spokane Chiefs fans go nobody can stand him. He is often booed when he is announced and at the very least you sure won't hear anyone clapping. As far as him saying that he doesn't compete with the other mascots I don't know what he does at the Indians games with Otto but it's obvious he competes with Boomer for the fans attention. If he absolutely has to be there I really wish he wouldn't be so public, he can walk around collecting trash or whatever but he needs to stay off the ice and out of the way.

Re: “More than Hair

Great example of the fine young men Coach Baldwin recruits to our community. One of the leaders who recruits fellow players to the Special Olympics Polar Plunge held annually at Liberty Lake.

Re: “About a Boat

Wonderful and touching chronology. I, too, own a 1971 Jolly Roger, and would love to put together a comprehensive design history. I think this might be a good starting point for that. Is there a way I could contact you, for a little guidance?

Re: “Challengers to the Throne

Are you serious? There is no team in the WCC that can beat Gonzaga this year.
