Re: “The Price of Progress

Bad tribal leadership in the Spokane Tribe. They should have gotten their deal when Tom Foley was Speaker like the Colville Tribe did.

Bummer, dude.

Re: “King's Court

Hurray, potheads and alkies unite!!!! I wonder why we are not celebrating the opening of more businesses that cater to druggies, drunkards and intoxicated dregs? They could open stores a block or two from the unemployment office, DSHS and many of the other social welfare establishments so that their customers could load up as soon as they get their EBT/Qwest or SSDI money from Uncle Sugar.

I want to open a "Pain Management Clinic" soon and cater to the oxy crowd, those guys need a little love from Obama.

Re: “Old, New and the Commodity of Seattle Cool

"There is a tension at the heart of indie culture between competing ideals and realities, on the one hand, an oppositional formation of outsiders that sees itself as the solution to an excessively homogenized, commercialized media, and on the other hand a form of expression that is itself commercial and that also serves to promote the interests of a class of sophisticated consumers."

Re: “Spirit Matters

Wow... A biting cultural critique of everything the Inlander represents. I am surprised they let you publish it. Perhaps it is difficult to see that a critique can apply to yourself- you are always the exception.

Re: “A County Ombudsman?

Sheriff claims the existence of a Citizen Advisory Board - HOLY SMOKE AND MIRRORS!?! A Top Secret Committee that has been meeting once a month to handle the Sheriff's debacles - now that's a mathematical impossibility! Welcome to the secret, clandestine world of Wizard Knezovich - when the going gets tough, the Wiz simply calls on his secret committee of appointed Wizardettes! Eight to twelve secret members of a secret committee with no public accountability, exposure or involvement serving the secret needs of the Big "K" to assist in re-inventing reality - just waiting on the Wizard to pull a handle from behind the iron curtain while hiding the truth from the public - now that's "transparency!" I wonder if they already "closed' the investigation on the Ryan Holyk murder like the SPD - excluding the admission of Deputy Bodman stating that he did, in fact, strike Ryan? And, the eyewitness testimony of Tim Viall who witnessed Bodman strike and kill Ryan? Shame, shame, shame... what is the Biblical scripture about those who harm the "little ones?" Something like, "you might as well place a bag of rocks around your neck and throw yourself from a bridge."

Makes me want to go and wash my hands - God forgive them.
