Re: “Rematch

I did some fact checking on cmr's support "for legislation that would give tribes more control over their land." I even called her WDC office and spoke with Steven. People, there is no such legislation -- either introduced or proposed. She is just like Trump -- fact-free and ethically ambivalent. If you want to know who she works for, Google her donor list. About 13% of her donations comes from the people who she is elected to represent.

Re: “Urgency of Change

Andrew Biviano is quite possibly the worse choice for County Commissioner since Mark Richards.

Shelly is nothing to write home about, but she is much better than Andy.

Biviano would be yet another attempt to put the wackiness of the Spokane city council liberal mindset at the county level.....

Shelly will at least not support very expensive moron ideas like the the STA 200 million dollar Central City line....

Re: “Think Global, Tax Local

If it passes it won't survive a court challenge.

Best to let some other state be the guinea pig for something like this and see if the Carbon Con Men are right.

Re: “Trump vs. Jesus

Great article! As a Christian I gave up on the Republicans when they did nothing about Roe vs.
Wade when they had the presidency, the supreme court and the congress under Bush 2. I really admire Max Lacado for saving what he did about Trump.

Re: “OK, Hold Your Nose

Hey, Hillary didn't go into a coughing fit and Trump looked presidential.

Who would have guessed?

Re: “Trump vs. Jesus

Incredibly powerful words from you dad and mom. Even as a liberal, I appreciated every aspect of this article, and could understand what your parents felt. I could only imagine their difficult decision on what to do/who to vote for. They are good people to stick by their faith and recognize that Trump truly has nothing in common- from his multi marriages to his seedy business deals to his humiliation of those he see "less" than he is.

I've seen a good friend change from Republican to Independent, because Trump is not what his Republican Party stood for- he is not the party of Abraham Lincoln. I've had conversations with my conservative mother-in-law about the matter- and feels just as strongly as your parents do due to her faith, and would rather see Hilary win.

This article should hit home so for many, no matter what side of the aisle you are on. We all have those in our lives feeling this conundrum and I truly hope this helps open their eyes.

Re: “Steep Learning Curve

We appreciate all of the services available to our children. As addiction assessments determine treatment levels, therapies can be designed for various intensities. I can't imagine anyone making a major change in their life in 15 days, however. Please continue to work collaboratively to help the children.

Re: “OK, Hold Your Nose

There is the hard truth of what is at stake regarding the presidential choice. Even if you have to vote somewhat against your principles in that matter to avoid a crisis, you still have plenty of opportunity to get your message out about the direction you want your country to go. This you do by voting in the local, state and congressional candidates that align the best with your principles/ convictions. So if for instance Hillary wins, but the Congress goes in favor of a congress far to the left of her, I'm sure Hillary will get the message and has to govern accordingly.

Re: “Trump vs. Jesus

Your dad should vote for President Obama as a write-in. He can look at it as a political Hipoccratic oath: Do no harm. He avoids voting for candidates with whom he disagrees, and there's no chance that President Obama can be reelected. Win-win.

Re: “Trump vs. Jesus

"So, Dan, your parents are going to vote for the PROVEN liar and quid pro quo queen instead of the bombastic billionaire?"

Nope. They aren't voting for either.

Let me put it in Obama terms: "Let me be clear: They reject this false choice."
