My group of friends and I always try to come by late afternoon but they always close early... I get off at work at 6 and they were closed?

Re: “I Saw You

I saw you at Winco on Father's day 5:00pm. You: handsome silver fox, physically fit, in line ahead of me. You started moving your Tea, pasta & a 3rd item forward to accommodate me. I said, you're OK. Me: Red/blonde hair, blue tiedie shirt, yoga pants purchasing 2-6 packs of beer, chips, junk food. Honestly, it wasn't for me. I saw you looking at me several times. Hope to see you soon.

Re: “Revved Up Again

Would love to buy a $100 gift cert, for friends that grequent the place, but I called the two numbers listed. The first number, (509) 474-0933, told me I have the wrong number and told me to call the restaurant "handlebars" (plural), so I found another number online, (509) 924-3720, it says "you have reached a nonworking number ". I'd love to do business with you. We've been there before and like the food as well. Would you please update your information online so we can contact you.

Re: “Community Commemoration

The monument is along side the Centennial Trail in Spokane Valley. And it has been there for a while. Before the trail was put in place, it was completely off the beaten path.

Re: “The Lost Chapter

What happened to the deferred / exempt tax status issues that caused this vote to fail? It had to do with charging taxes to people that were exempt that was to make the initiative invalid at either the county or state level?

Re: “The Gender Games

Fathers are less likely to win a custody battle for their children simply because of their gender. IN domestic violence cases men are almost always going to pay the consequences regardless of fault. Yet you believe this is where gender inequality lies?

Re: “ESSAY | What's In A Wi-Fi Name?

You just got an iPod Touch!?!?! Are you telling me you've never had a smartphone, a tablet, a laptop, a smart tv, a gaming console, a printer, or 100s of other items with Wi-Fi? This article is embarrassing and very late in the game. Next you should talk about the wonderful visual accomplishments of VHS hahahahahaha

Re: “People Power

People already vote with their dollars, and they do it every day. Walmart, Chevron etc. People can criticize and try to mount boycotts, but they should hedge their bets and buy shares of stock, too.
Fanciful politics won't pay for groceries when you're old, but dividends will.

Re: “Caught in a Mosh

Way back in the day it was called slam dancing. If you went to a show by a band like Black Flag, you could wind up with a black eye, broken nose, or missing a tooth (teeth). Things got a little sporty outside the venues, too. You didn't so much as go to shows as you survived them.

Re: “Arguing Over Peanuts

Spokane needs to follow the rest of the country and ban peanuts from all of their schools. My daughter, who is 3 as well, is deathly allergic to peanuts and is severely allergic to eggs with a moderate dairy allergy. I do not seek a ban on eggs or dairy or soy gluten etc. because as the previous parent noted, it is the peanut that is the deadly one and can kill a child before they can even make it to the ER. There is only so much a parent can do. My daughter has known since she was 2 that she can't have her allergenic foods, but where my biggest fear lies? 3 year old Johnny brings a granola bar to school and shares it with her. Johnny's mom didn't think to read the ingredients list before she sent him to school, Johnny has no idea what is in his food, my daughter has no idea that there would be peanuts in a granola bar. She eats the granola bar and a tragedy could potentially occur. This is the real fear of parents. Our young children have no way of knowing if their lethal allergies are in processed foods. And you can tell them over and over again not to take food from other kids but it only takes one time for them to do it and get the picture. I hope this opened up some parents eyes who do not have children with lethal food allergies. It is a nightmare..please just be thankful that your kids will not ever have to go through what my little one and countless others do, and that you do not have the burden of being a parent of a deathly allergic child. I would much rather be in your shoes and have my only concern be to not send my kid to school with a peanut-laden food.

Re: “Caught in a Mosh

I thought you said rock was supposed to be dangerous when you were trashing the Eagles. The Caught in a Mosh story seemed pointless except to possibly try to get some street cred by pointing out that you were there getting your battle scars in the days of Circle Jerks and GBH. You should be old enough to know better. It sounds like you are only struggling to convince people (or more importantly yourself) of your relevance to the “scene”.
