Re: “I Saw You

Re: Little Angels and Little Devils are not racist

Talk about lack of understanding! This ranter above doesn't even know that those formerly named "Little Angels" cupcakes at Rockwood Bakery were in fact not Angel Food Cake. Sad, sad, ignorant person ranting above.

Re: “Facing History

"Whatever Glover's faults, they do not fall on the scale of mass oppression and systematic injustice. He was not a killer or a slaveholder. There's no evidence he was more prejudiced than most white men of the time."

Glover did not contribute to oppression or systematic injustice?! Why does the writer excuse Glover's actions?! What about Natives and women?! What about anybody that's ever been wrongly institutionalized and separated from society?! You don't have to kill or enslave somebody to oppress them. You just have to marginalized their voices.

Re: “Love the Liberty

Do Not Go Here!!
They should be sued for false advertisement (As far fetched of an advertisement as this is).
Blaring music, skimpy amount of toppings, no flavor, paper thin cardboard crust…Ugh.
You'd be better off going to Target and ordering a mini pizza.
No comparison to Papa Murphy's!!

Re: “The Gender Games

Women still struggle with equality issues, but I've got to say - this is a strange way to illustrate those struggles. I open the door all the time for both men and women and have NEVER had any strange reactions...Most men just say thank you...Maybe it's your attitude that makes men react in strange ways. You say that it's a game...Do you have a snarky attitude when you open the door for a man verses a woman? When I open the door for a man I just act like it's no big deal...because it isn't! I just happened to get to the door first....This is a really strange article - it seems like these articles just try to pit men and women against each other - how is that helpful?!?

Re: “For Your Consideration

Stapleton's album is a good one, and worth every dollar. If you liked it, you have to listen to Sturgill Simpson. His amazing voice is a combination of Hag and Waylon, and his song writing is classic, authentic, and witty in a wry way. Do yourself a favor and get his albums "High Top Mountain" and "Metamodern Sounds In Country Music."

Re: “The Gender Games

Yay neo-feminism journalism in spokane! Gotta keep up with Jones right? Gotta show everyone how edgy of a mag & journalist we are. Good thing the Inlander is free cause if it wasnt Id be canceling my subscription. Im all for equality but having to play stupid childish games as if it somehow proves sexism. Im sorry that people were raised with manners. People of any gender should hold the door open for one another regardless of gender. What this article will accomplish is people second guessing if they should hold the door open for anyone. "Hmmmm will I be mocked or insulted for doing this?" This is nonissue BS....you could be spending your time battling real issues yet instead...like Jezebel...you waste your time with nonissues. What's next, and article on how crappy of a character Black Widow was in Age of Ultron?

Re: “The Gender Games

I reject the notion that opening a door for a lady is an assertion of male dominance.

Re: “Chicken Challenge

I realize that fried chicken was the focus of the article, but the pulled pork and brisket at Chicken 'N Mo are really good, too. And as far as I know, Chicken 'N Mo is the only local place where you can get catfish or real red beans and rice. If you like barbeque and haven't been there yet, do it now. It's one of the best restaurants in the downtown area, and Bob is one of the nicest guys around, too.
