Re: “The Double Life of Billy Tipton

From what I see here, Diane Middlebrook seems never to have known or spoken to a transgender person in her life. The reason she "just doesn't know" is because she's an outsider looking in, who hasn't even bothered to do her homework.

Re: “Beer by the Jug

I love this place. Sean and his staff are just terrific and the beer selection is out of this world!

Re: “Monsters & Demons

OK. Sasquatch believers answer a simple question for me. Why has there never been a dead Sasquatch body or bones found ANYWHERE? We have fossils from dinosaurs that lived millions of years ago, and even fossilized dinosaur poop, but no Sasquatch bones or fossils.

Re: “Blood Alcohol Consequences

Guess what? This guy makes almost 8k as a FF a month, and turns out he has been "hiding" ANOTHER DUI in Idaho!!!!! Did he hide this from spokane fire department as well? Firefighting is a noble occupation. But not all firefighters are noble. House of cards coming down....

Re: “Blood Alcohol Consequences

According to Washington law the firefighter should have had a 30 day jail sentence and 2 year license suspension. Not "ordered released" by judge Wilson.

Re: “Blood Alcohol Consequences

Nice! Did the firefighter with a prior conviction get let off with a warning and some random piss tests. He of all of them should have had stiffer consequences with a prior and being on the taxpayer payroll. Ridiculous.

Re: “A Year of Trends

FWIW, Liberty's tasting room opened in April 2014, not 2013. North Idaho Cider hasn't opened its tasting room yet, though it has begun distribution. And Coeur d'Alene's other new (but unmentioned) cidery, Summit Cider, starting distributing earlier, in mid-November, and is more widely available.

Re: “On Bigfoot's Trail

Having grown up in The Big Thicket of SE Texas and spending ALL my spare time as an expert woodsman... I find the most astounding part of the entire Big Foot Phenomenon is the fact that these ,"Experts" who are on the TV shows and go out into the night, are the biggest bunch of wussies I've ever seen. They honestly expect a wild elusive creature to bless them with it's presence as they cower in FEAR behind the simplest of noises and as soon as a Big Footed Thrush Bird snaps a twig... HEAR THAT??? IT'S BIGFOOT!!!! I just KNOW it is... Hahahahaha... Absurdity in it's most theatrical form. If they ever DID see one, they would $&!# and fall right back in it and then run away in fear!

My grandfather told me stories of how the loggers of the 1900 - 1920s, building the railroad trams thru the virgin forests of Texas and the Louisiana border in order to move the logs out, would watch a tall hairy creature stand at a distance, and watch the camp every evening at dinner time as the food was cooking. It would stand with it's arms crossed and watch, curiously, but would run away if the normal routine of the camp was altered to the point of focusing on it or if it was even slightly approached... Some wanted to shoot it as proof, but the majority of men knew what it was and always over ruled... If not for THAT story, from my own grand father.... I would be a scoffer too! But 1900 - 1920 was 100 years ago, and we have destroyed MILLIONS of acres of our forestland and to exist in what we have left for OURSELVES is as rare as seeing an alien from outer space!!!! Whup!!! Chewybacca LIVES!!!

Two cheers for creating spaces where you're likely to find another with a common goal.

Re: “Silent Night on the Western Front

The show is amazing. My wife, daughter, her friend and myself had the pleasure of seeing it the day after Thanksgiving. It's no mystery why they shows are sold out -- the performances by all eleven ensemble members is spot on. It's emotionally moving, and thought provoking.
I would love to see it again at The Bing, but I'm not sure I could handle the intensity of it again. Next year, yes. By then I will be ready again. It's that powerful.
If you haven't seen it -- this Christmas Eve is the 100th anniversary to the DAY that the truce started and the story in the show takes place. Set your plans aside and go.

Re: “Swipe right for love

Most dating sites and apps I have found lack one important thing. You can't really get to know someone's personality through just a picture, then waste your time meeting them, just to find out they don't look like their picture, or their personality isn't really what you like.
Look at the site 2connects.com, because they let you also post videos, no automatic renewals and they do background checks on all that join.
No matter where you join, I will suggest researching which sites have the most complaints. I found the major sites seem to be the worst one's. Good luck and I hope this is helpful.
