Re: “Small Towns 2015: Of Mountains and Mines

The ores and minerals, the bars, the hill, the folks. Nice article. Kellogg is one of a kind.

Re: “A Co-op for Hops

If these brewers are sticking to ales, IPA's , porters and stouts, I could care less. There are damn few places one can purchase Spokane brewed Pilsner and Lager to drink with an ale. So far Sessions is my only option. I only drink LOCAL.

Re: “Breweries of the Inland Northwest

Beer, what beer. Spokane is not a beer hub or town, rather it is an Ale town. Who locally brews pilsner or lager which is easily available locally. The Hefeweizen is great in season but "Local Beer - non ales?... I'm waiting

Re: “Off to Camp

John Mujica, along with a committee of over a dozen people worked together for months to put this event together. But, the purpose of the article was to promote the camp, not the people who put the camp together. I think Chey did an excellent job accurately portraying the purpose and outcome of Collective Campout.

Re: “Off to Camp

Where's the love for John Mujica? He was pretty damn instrumental for this event...

Re: “Breweries of the Inland Northwest

Why wasn't North Idaho Mountain Brew in Wallace Idaho included on the list?

Re: “Fading Glory

I vote for the original, too. The only change I would suggest is to replace the navy blue with purple. The others are too complex, and the latest appropriates the self-description of the Spokane Tribe, which is disrespectful of their culture. It's good that it has been hidden away.

Re: “I Saw You

WSU Interior Design @ Walmart, N. 8/22 - You, blonde hair, blue eyes, ~5'5". We talked while the cashier searched for the anti-theft on a bottle of Makers Mark. Kicking myself for not asking your name. Respond here if you happen across this?

Re: “Fading Glory

In order to bring attention to the flags, perhaps the Inlander could run a cover with Sheriff Knezovich standing on them.

Re: “Fading Glory

I vote to restore the original flag! A far, far better design than any of the more recent versions. A sun, and what might have even been an intentional abstraction of the river and the lower falls (white stripe and fan) Lilac color too.

Re: “The Club House

Cold beer and really good warm sandwiches, the bacon, qouda melt is incredible. Great customer service as well. Will be heading back there many times in the near future!

Try their "Twisted Caprese" sandwich. It's very tasty! I keep going back for it.

Re: “Small Towns 2015: Small Town, Big Hearts

What an idealized piece of work. It is a horrible small town. There is no education, limited access to jobs and rampant drug problems. What could be a charming small town is instead a cesspool of uncontrolled power and abuse with no outside influence to moderate it.

Re: “Small Towns 2015: Small Town, Big Hearts

I am happy to have called North Idaho home for over 40 years. Moved back to Missouri to care for Elderly Mother. My duties are now finished here in Missouri. Will be looking to make my journey back Home. I do miss all the friends and families that allowed me to be a part of their lives there in St. Marie's, Emida, Plummer, Princeton, and Coeur d'Alene. I worked in the area and in Spokane and have the Cda Tribe . St. Marie's by far has the Best Fireworks of any I have watched. Even better than in Texas or any other big show I have witnessed. The program I remember most is the Pirate show done while I the park. I remember Ed a fellow employee of Safeway being part of the fireworks family in town. A Big a Thanks to All. Jack Buell was Always around to give me advice when I ask him.
