Re: “In Idaho, resistance to marijuana runs deep

It's time to take over the home state and kick all these retards out of office.. Idaho is my state for the future..... the only future they have is shitting their pants in a retirement home. It's time for the ages between 25 and 40 to show to step it up.enough is enough it's time for change.

Re: “In Idaho, resistance to marijuana runs deep

It's a shame the Governor is being so willfully ignorant about a life saving issue such as this. Medical studies of cannabis date back to the 1840s, to include seizures.

Re: “In Idaho, resistance to marijuana runs deep

Fastest growing industry in America? Legal Marijuana, coming to your town very soon....#1 crop in California and LEGAL in ALL west coast states, #$$$GrowsOnTrees

the west coast thanks you a trillion (dollar$), filling any order anytime

27 states and the DOC allow marijuana but not 1 southern state, lol, nobody denies freedom like the south

Deaths by alcohol: Millions
Deaths by tobacco: Millions
Deaths by guns: Millions
Deaths by prescription drugs: Quadrupled in decade
Deaths by marijuana: 0, EVER

new studies on animals by the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT claim marijuana kills some cancers and reduces the size of others...1000s of Cancer research centers sucking Billion$ and yet not 1 study with marijuana decades later, not 1...and you think they are trying to cure cancer?....#AmericanIdiots

Re: “In Idaho, resistance to marijuana runs deep

The article contains an error. Democrat Cecil Andrus served as governor of Idaho from 1971-1977. Democrat John Evans then served from 1977-87. Cecil Andrus was then elected governor and served from 1987-1995. In 1995, Idaho elected its first Republican governor in 24 years....

Interesting! I'm just now getting into beard grooming, my girlfriend got me some beard oil from and I like their stuff a lot. Reasonably priced and great scents. Well worth giving it a try!

Faith has the ability to trump science every time. I don't have fear, except in ever changing science. I have faith in a never changing God that knows whats best for me and my family.

Point fingers. Call ignorance by it's name. Science should trump faith and fear every single time.

Re: “The measles are back in Spokane County… what now?

So why did he get measles if he was vaccinated? I think this media frenzy is part of the problem. Report facts. Who out of all the infected was and was not vaccinated. Measles have never been eradicated, only reduced. These pop up cases have been going on for years. Stop pointing fingers and do real reporting with facts.

Re: “CONCERT REVIEW: Neko Case rocked the Bing despite missing bandmate

I've never seen Neko live although I've been a fan for many years, I agree with M Michell above, she sounded great even without Hogan ( she was missed :( ) however the show lacked energy, she seemed bored, unenthusiastic, exhausted and to be blunt, looked terrible like she just rolled out of bed, I enjoyed the show but was left wanting more.

Re: “CONCERT REVIEW: Neko Case rocked the Bing despite missing bandmate

I thought the show was amazing. I have only heard her recordings and this was my first Neko Case concert so I don't have her other concerts to compare to. I think her recordings don't come close to doing her or her band justice. Her voice was clear, controlled, and powerful, and the band was great!

I was not impressed with the venue though, it seemed a little less than professional as far as the "security" given to the band. Each "guard" was dressed differently in sloppy casual clothing--presumably they just walked in wearing whatever they wanted to. One of them continually walked into the middle of the orchestra seating area during the concert and just stood there blocking the stage for many of us. Not to mention the two men who obviously had too much to drink and were moving around the theater to different seats trying to get a picture of Neko on their phone without getting caught. They were talked to by "security" four times and still were not kicked out. I would have flipped them off too if I was trying to perform onstage. At least Neko had the grace to apologize and the guts to be real with them. They ruined parts of the concert for those of us distracted by them and caused her to make some mistakes in a few songs.

And popcorn? Really? At a concert? This isn't Bumbershoot or Sasquatch. We aren't staring brainlessly at a movie screen. The whole point of a concert is to engage in the performance and enjoy some great music. How can you do that sitting on your butt, chowing down? Maybe that is how the east side does concerts but it seemed odd to me.

Five stars for Neko; three stars for the Bing.

Re: “WW: DEA chief out, Kansan loses son over medical marijuana and ex-cops smoke weed

For Cancer patients, for kids suffering from Seizures, and for so many others, safe, legal, access to Medical Marijuana is a matter of life and death. Its critical that Marijuana be removed from Schedule 1 immediately. Please call the whitehouse comment line at (202) 456-1111 and ask that the President get that to happen, to protect the health and safety of Americans that need Medical Marijuana. Have everyone else you know call them too.

I'm a Scientist with a strong interest in Cancer research. The clinical evidence of the value of Marijuana as a life saving medicine is now so strong that the need to remove Marijuana from Schedule 1 has become a moral imperative. Google Medical Marijuana testimonials. Google Medical Marijuana Cancer Patient Testimonials.

This weekend over 3,000 Americans died, in pain, of Cancer. Every single day, 1,500 Americans die of Cancer after suffering horribly. it. Every single minute another American dies of Cancer. Every American Cancer patient deserves the right to have safe, legal, and economical access to Medical Marijuana. Every single one.

Americans who need Medical Marijuana shouldn't be used as "Political Footballs" Please call the Whitehouse comment line at (202) 456-1111 and ask that the President take immediate action to remove Marijuana from Schedule 1 so American Physicians in all 50 states can prescribe it.

Oncologists have know it for more than a quarter of a Century that Marijuana is a "wonder drug" for helping Cancer patients
The American Society of Clinical Oncologists wants Marijuana removed from Schedule 1. So does the American Medical Association, the professional society of all Physicians. A strong majority of Americans want Physicians in all 50 states to be able to prescribe Medical Marijuana. So do their Physicians., Cancer patients can't wait.
The need to immediately, completely, legalize Marijuana throughout the world is one of the most pressing moral issues of our time, because of its medical benefits and because of the damage prohibition causes to America and to the world.

Complete legalization is critical -- its vital that there aren't "strings" or "hoops" that Cancer patients and others who need Medical Marijuana are forced to jump through
"Charlottes web" is NOT the solution. Cancer patients and people who suffer from chronic pain need THC, not just CBD. The "Berkeley study", where 96% of stage 4 Cancer patients who had a wide variety of Cancers achieved remission, used high dose Medical Marijuana oil, 72% THC, 28% CBD, 1 gram/day (oral) over a 90 day course of treatment. It was a small study, and not placebo controlled, but those kinds of results are clearly remarkable, have been widely reported on in the press, and demand the need for immediate large scale clinical trials.

More and more present and former members of law enforcement agree about the need to end prohibition, and have formed a rapidly expanding group of current and former undercover cops, FBI, DEA, prosecutors and Judges, from all over the world, called

LEAP -- Law Enforcement Against Prohibition

because they've seen the damage prohibition causes to America and the world.

I'm a Scientist. Not a politician, not a cop.

But as a Scientist with a strong interest in Cancer research, I feel even more strongly about the need to ensure that no Cancer patient is denied it, because I'm so impressed with its benefits for Cancer patients.

I urge everyone reading this to PLEASE call and email the Attorney General, the press, Congress and the President today.

Medical Marijuana helps with Alzheimer's, Autism, Cancer, seizures, PTSD and chronic pain, and has helped many Americans, including many veterans, stop using Alcohol, and hard drugs, both legal and illegal ones.

Every minute an American dies of Cancer.

Every 19 minutes an American dies of a prescription drug overdose.

Many vets become addicted to prescription opiates and die from them.

NOBODY has ever died from smoking too much pot.

Cancer patients are seeing remarkable results using high dose Medical Marijuana oil, in many cases achieving complete remission, even for stage 4 cancers -- there are many excellent articles on the web, and videos on youtube with patient's personal stories about their experiences with it -- and every Cancer patient that uses Marijuana to ease their suffering benefits greatly from doing so.

It is immoral to leave Marijuana illegal, for anyone, for even a second longer.

For Cancer patients, its a matter of life and death.

Cancer patients can't wait.

Medical Marijuana has an unmatched safety profile, and for people who suffer from so many diseases, of so many kinds, its a medical miracle -- and the scientific evidence behind it is rock solid.

For Cancer patients, Medical Marijuana encourages apoptosis and autophagy of Cancer cells, while leaving normal cells untouched, is anti-angigogenic, anti-proliferative, and is anti-angiogenic.

Its also synergistic with chemotherapy and radiation therapy, making both more effective.
For many Cancer patients its meant the difference between life and death.

For everyone else, its a far safer alternative to Alcohol, and infinitely safer than Cigarettes.

Either take them off the market too, or legalize Marijuana right now.

2016 is too far away, Its too long to wait. Every year we lose more Americans to Cancer than died in WWII.

Between now and the 2016 elections, roughly 1 MILLION Americans will die of Cancer.

And Its a horrible way to die.

Re: “Hells Angels to some, guardian angels to others

Guardian Angels at times......maybe,but aren't we all? Truth be told, the Hells Angels are an Outlaw 1%er Motorcycle Gang....look up what this 1%er lifestlye is about. Note they have been deemed a criminal street gang in many states, note members of the Hells Angels have been convicted of RICO...look that up too....Guardian Angels you say? No, a criminal organization is a better description of the Hells Angels.

Just curious, but with there being 3 arrests, what was the impetus for the writer, or the paper, to write only and specifically about this one?

Re: “CONCERT REVIEW: Neko Case rocked the Bing despite missing bandmate

I found the review a little too sunny given Case's excellent reputation and undeniable skill. I came away with the feeling that this was one of the lesser performances of the tour. Hogan's absence no doubt was a huge factor. Neko's band hardly even looked up at the audience the whole show, there was zero engagement and hardly any energy.

Case seemed tired and agitated, at one point flipping off an audience member for using their cell phone. I'm in complete agreement with her point that cell phone use severely hinders the concert going experience , but her response was super risky. If someone, in poor taste, had the gumption to challenge her by waving a phone after she berated the audience member, things would have gotten even more awkward than they already were.

There were moments when I could tell Case settled into a song and really delivered, but they were few and far between on this night. I'm a fan and I fully believe she is a great performer, but this show was not one (I believe) she will look back upon with fondness.

In stark comparison I thought the opener, Rodrigo Amarante, was nothing short of mind-blowing.

Don't be afraid to acknowledge realities when reviewing these shows. It makes for better journalism.
