Re: “Interim police Chief Rick Dobrow to retire, former U.S. Attorney to take over

Very, very predictable. McDevitt as been Condon's behind the scenes Director of SPD since 2012 anyway so this is funny! Has McDevitt left his job with the Airport Board?

Bring awareness to Hoaxer activities & prosecute those who consciously, publicly defame, harass and emotionally abuse the victims of high profile tragedies. Send us report about your harassment in our webpage honr.com

Re: “[UPDATED] Downtown police captain returns to work as new Intermodal Center office comes under scrutiny from employees

That's the ongoing SPD new Slogan "Spokane Police Department: inadequate and unsafe " that's how they have operated for years. They seem comfortable in their own shoes! #ChangeSpokane

Re: “WA Supreme Court strikes down Community Bill of Rights; Envision Spokane not giving up

"Specifically, the court determined that the provision granting the Spokane River legal rights could adversely affect Spokane County and Avista, two plaintiffs in the case that use the river."

EXACTLY. What about the river? Does it just exist for a private corporations to use and profit off of?
Women didn't used to have legal rights either. They just existed for their husband's private pleasure and free labor.

Until we recognize equal legal standing of the rights of ecosystems to exist and flourish we will continue to slowly pollute and consume ourselves off the face of the earth.

As long as private profits for a few are given greater legal privileges than the health and well being of the many we are doomed.

Communists never give up they are like Cancer.

Envision needs to just move on and find a more gullible population than Spokane.

Re: “Former police Chief Frank Straub files lawsuit against Mayor David Condon and his administration

Straub had typical at will contract according to a friend that filed a PRR to get a copy.

Re: “Former police Chief Frank Straub files lawsuit against Mayor David Condon and his administration

Cotton and Straub are represented by cutthroat lawyers who will argue that each of them was a victim even though their stories are diametrically opposed. In reality, it's the taxpayers in Spokane who will foot the legal bills to defend these lawsuits and settlements even though both stories can't be true.

Re: “Former police Chief Frank Straub files lawsuit against Mayor David Condon and his administration

It seems like an FOI petition would give us all a look at the terms and conditions of the Straub contract with the city. I was and remain under the impression that this chief was appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the City Council. There is no doubt it was the mayor who drove & strongly supported the hire decision over the objection of at least one advisory group. Lots of questions have resulted. The story may ebb and flow for a long time. But the deal, the contract, signed between Straub and the city, is locked in as far as this specific deal is concerned. We citizens should also be able to read and determine for ourselves whether we are going to have to (ultimately) pay for this lawsuit or not. And whether we have been well represented or not. Now and going forward.

Re: “Former police Chief Frank Straub files lawsuit against Mayor David Condon and his administration

Mr Ryals,

There were no "notes" provided in the PRR. check my Blog.

If this investigation is supposed to be concluded in April that gives us a pretty good idea of what we will get.

Re: “Attorney Bob Dunn on why Monique Cotton, center of Straub-Condon controversy, just resigned from Parks Department

This was posted on my FB page by Former City Council Member Bob Apple, who sat on the Parks Board.:
Bob Apple Certainly the Mayor knows that the Park Board is autonomous entity and not responsible to his direction and authority because Parks is an intentionally independently operated entity of our City as our City Charter expresses. Clearly the Park Board would have to approve any permanent upper staff employees. Fact is Mrs Cotton has worked for the City long enough to know this is how the Parks Department works and before she accepted the temporary position that was initially being funded by the Police Department budget.
