Re: “The Hateful Eight

Another Tarantino comedy... cursing, killing, beautiful cinematography, crispy dialog and fun to watch acting by all.

Re: “Kingsman: The Secret Service

Raunchy, vulgar, full of swearing and lots of horrible violence blowing peoples heads off. Even a scene suggesting and leading up to anal intercourse. And it would not be complete without a wife beater scene or two.

No not see this movie if you are a family that cares about morals and ethics.

Disgusting waste of money and time.

Re: “Fat Cats

Sorry to be a spoilsport, but as a British emigre and recent addition to Spokane's population, I feel duty bound to point out that the position of 'Chief Mouser' has existed (if not in name but function) since the 1500's. As amusing as it is to think that Larry is the ultimate political survivor from this recent constitutional turmoil in my homeland, I think it's more to do with cats being more likeable than the cabal of jackasses running things currently.

Re: “Fat Cats

Given the deplorable record of big government, the tar and feathers should be saved for those who insist on doing the same things over and over again while expecting a different outcome.

Re: “Zero Accountability

Spokoresident should have read the article. Its about Cathy...no one else. Is it really that hard to remain focused when your crosseyed?

Re: “The Way

Fr. Codd's book is the best one I have read about the Camino and was a prompt for me to go twice (so far) to do segments. I can't wait for the follow up!

Re: “Starting Small

"Tom Robinson, a member of the Spokane Homeless Coalition, says that if a village of anything tiny is going to be built, it should be tiny huts, not tiny houses."

I wonder how tiny of a hut he lives in.

Re: “Initiative that would raise minimum wage, require sick leave makes ballot

Honestly as far as minimum wage goes and I'm far from an expert but that's barely enough to sustain a living off of at $9.47 in King County. I don't necessarily think raising the minimum wage is a bad idea but I think the living cost is ignored for the issue it truly is.

Re: “Stealing Washington

It's amazing how such a promising country can have such promising and prospering options with positive outcomes but a few hundred miles away and it's the exact opposite.

The common factor is addiction, solve the drug problem with possibilities for improvement instead of just locking them away and watch the criminal rating of a lot of crimes drop, rather then just property crimes.

Re: “Will the ousted editor from Orange County take over the Spokesman-Review?

Wow, substitute Smith for Curley (and a fedora and cigar for the haircut and necklace) and it's 2002 all over again.

Re: “CONCERT REVIEW: Chris Cornell mesmerizes for three hours at The Fox

I saw the show in Davenort, Iowa, and my friends and I were blown away! I hope to see one of the Temple of the Dog venues. The fact that this CC tour is unplugged and intimate, showcases his talent. Chris is, without a doubt, one of the most talented musicians of our time!

Re: “How the Ryan Holyk video expert apparently led an investigation down the wrong path — again

If you look into that report you'll see that the " time stamp" problem of s associated with analog systems not the digital recorder that Gus Johnson had. I'll pull the quote up and post, put digital recorders get a time variable that comes from an internal clock and is poked into the memory location as rescorded. Liar liar pants on fire.

Re: “Will the ousted editor from Orange County take over the Spokesman-Review?

Hahaah - I worked under Curley in Las Vegas, and let me tell you, the guy's a snake. He surrounds himself with yes men/yes women/yes interns, and then waltzes around making fantastic promises and proclamations, none of which ever come to light. To read what he's planning at the Spokesman is almost surreal -- I've heard it all before. Same sales pitch for a new, desperate audience. The emperor's not wearing clothes! Ugh - just seeing that short necklace and that ridiculous Peter Pan manchild hair cut gives me the creeps all over.

Re: “Crash > Click > Cash

It is also worth noting that the Swapp firm had to tender a very sizable legal malpractice claim a year or two ago to their malpractice insurance carrier. The Swapp firm is what is known among ethical attorneys as a settlement mill. They cannot and will not get appropriate settlements.

Note further - when Craig Swapp started his firm he was not licensed to practice in WA. It was an ethical violation to do this.

Re: “Water fight

You know what else is poisonous? Oxygen, but in low concentrations and mixed with other elements it's called air, and it keeps us alive. I'm neither for nor against fluoridated water. For me, I have lived in areas with and without fluoride in the water. My biggest concern is the financial cost to the city and consumer. But please, enough with the hyperbole. Fluoride is no more a poison than oxygen.
