Re: “Meet the Farmer

Glad to see it but where is the love for the plant or even me? You'll never beat the black market the way Washington has the system set up imho. While you're competing to be the cheapest - where at in this process are you taking care and thought of the customer experience? If your stuff is bunk in one bag - are you going to make it right by hooking the next one up fat like the black market does? You can't and that'll be enough for me to walk. These are simple items that are falling to the way side in the name of regulation that's crippling the industry's ability to compete with the black market.

Re: “Unparalleled Lines

If the stuff is harmless for children, sell it in vending machines at schools. It'll increase tax revenues and supplement school budgets. Once you've got a significant number of kids using it before and during school hours, classroom behavior will mellow right down. No more of the hijinks caused by kids who are hopped up on caffeine, sugar or Ritalin.

Re: “Revolving Doors

Truck drivers can't smoke; even if it's legal by the state.. They fall in the federal boot of laws and which makes it not excusable for them, just saying!

Re: “Cookie Craze

While reporting on something factual about a girl scout selling cookies is fine.... It seems a little excessive to relate girl scouts to the manufacture of drug cookies. Jordy, I think the article tells more about you than it does the Girl Scouts. Time for a test pal... (Operation Golden Flow)

Re: “Four Twenty!

I agree, you can PROBABLY write. "CEO", that is awesome. I bet when the "shareholders" divide up that $5 buck pie, you call it a "board meeting".

Re: “King's Court

Hurray, potheads and alkies unite!!!! I wonder why we are not celebrating the opening of more businesses that cater to druggies, drunkards and intoxicated dregs? They could open stores a block or two from the unemployment office, DSHS and many of the other social welfare establishments so that their customers could load up as soon as they get their EBT/Qwest or SSDI money from Uncle Sugar.

I want to open a "Pain Management Clinic" soon and cater to the oxy crowd, those guys need a little love from Obama.

Does Phat Panda know how to run a business? I'm sure they're getting lots of help from LE.

Re: “Locavore's Dilemma

Btw, my comment is in NO WAY meant as a dig toward the retailers. The market has forced all of our prices, but the market price blame is quite often placed purely on the producer.

Re: “Locavore's Dilemma

We appreciate you taking the time to clear up some of the misconceptions of the recreational market... Most rec shops fail to tell the public what they're actually buying pot for - usually less than $7 a gram and marking it up 300-350%.
Thank you for this article! We believe in local and organic marijuana and hope to weather the storm of unfair taxation from the state of Washington and archaic taxation (IRS 280E) policies developed in the 80's that prevents us from operating like a normal business.

Re: “New Bud

This just made my entire day. There are a lot of articles done on the retail shops and almost nothing on us growers. Warms my heart to see my small company being mentioned. :)

Re: “Pot Research

Interesting that "Craft and her team postulate...vulnerability to negative side effects...," but not the positive effect of "sensitivity" to the pain the relieving characteristics of the drug. Maybe because it was funded by "National Institute on Drug Abuse?!"

Re: “Locavore's Dilemma

How are the growers ripping people off? Did you not read the tax layout that was presented to the public before voting in this law took place? Being a consumer of both recreational store sourced product and medical dispensary product, you are getting way better quality via the rec. stores. Quality is always better than quantity especially when you are ingesting the product.
