Re: “How not to get away with picking up a prostitute on East Sprague Avenue

I'll admit I'm baffled as to why we still spend our ever shrinking public funds on such nonsense. The statistics tell us that Spokane suffers from disproportionately high levels of violent crime and yet we waste police resources trapping "Johns" so they can feel the force of our supposed moral outrage. I suppose the hackneyed formula of politicians promising to guard civic morality (while often involved in deep, dark, moral failures) still works in Spokane. But wait, I'm sure we'll hear about how prostitution is but domino and if we fail to stop it all manner of evil will overtake us in our sleep. We've heard it all before and it's no more true now than it's ever been.

Hopefully she won't walk off the stage after 40 minutes like she did in Portland on Saturday.

Re: “Ryan's Last Ride

No helmet,

No headlight,

No tail light,

No reflectors,

No regard for traffic laws,

Just randomly peddles into the road with to regard for oncoming traffic and expect others to swerve, crash or otherwise alter everything because you are AFTER ALL the center of the Xbox universe and you are peddling into traffic.

When I was a kid I didn't check the Facebook feeds for accidents when my buddies were running late. Why? Because my buddies were not normally breaking every law ever written regarding proper walking, biking or driving when they traveled to my home and I had to reason to expect them to be "in the news".

As with all stories in this "news" magazine, something is terribly wrong in the writing of this story. Every act of the "victim" is utterly disregarded and ignored and the blame for all of the victims mistakes is squarely set on the shoulders of others to forward the left wing bias and hate of law enforcement constantly furthered by the Inlander.

"Do Not Walk" was what the sign said.

Re: “Game of Thrones

Season 5 is my favorite season of Game of Thrones. This series has surpassed my wildest expectations and has given me more joy and sadness than any other series. This season consists of backstabbing, deaths, and twists and turns you'll never see coming. It is sublime, intelligent creative television. Game of thrones may be the best tv show ever created. An honest advice, if you live outside usa, then you need vpn to watch got on hbo.

Re: “Restore the Honesty

OK this is clickbait, right? Surely you realize how nauseating it is to be lectured to by one of the most untrustworthy politicians this area has ever produced. I don't have the energy anymore to respond to him, a broken record without a scintilla of self-awareness.

Re: “Progress Report

Oh btw if the inlander really wanted to be hard hitting and relevant they would do an investigative xposa on her. Wow, head shaking, and laughable at the same time. It really would make you question anything and everything she has said or written while at the same time call into question how the inlander could allow themselves to be so easily foolled

Re: “Progress Report

All for a strong black middle class I have three mixed children myself. I of course want them to fulfill their dreams and be productive members of society. I don't hear from them about any issues due to the color of their skin other than black men constantly coming onto them despite the fact they are still children(that's called pedophilia btw). Fortunately they are smart and well grounded and aren't looking to be some random black guys 101st baby momma only to raise a child by themselves.

Re: “Signs of the Times

I work down there and I get the feeling that the kind of discount prostitution that goes on in this area is marginally legal or tolerated by law enforcement. I think hard drugs addiction is the main issue for most the streetwalkers. I'm not sure if there's anything another person can do for someone who is way deep in that trap but I'd like it if they weren't beaten, jailed, killed, or run outta town.

Re: “Don't Test Me

I find it interesting that someone in Spokane School District is speaking out on testing. When I worked for Spokane school District, use to test the student quarterly with district test, practice and more practice, than the state test and then the district test. No one spoke out about the testing. I was working in Steven Elementary where an instructional coach was preparing students for state test. After giving instruction teaching to students about writing, they start to work on the writing. I saw one student struggling and asked the instructional coach if I needed to work with the student. She said no go work with other students. He is going to fail we need to work with students who are going to pass. I've seen other incidents where students, especially special education students were being left behind.

Re: “Powering Up

As we age, our appetite decreases. This is why most of the seniors eat less protein. Somehow, there's also an impact when an elderly person loses appetite due to illness and side effects of medications. Lack in protein can affect the psychological system; this is one of the many effects when an aging person has protein deficiency. Keep in mind that protein strengthens the muscles, as it lessens the chance of falling. (Here's an article about Fall Prevention for Seniors in Long Term Care: Another fact is, research shows that people who are regularly consuming protein will have a longer lifespan.

Re: “Where to get your vinyl for Record Store Day 2015

They were simply saying that business isn't "participating" in the events by having a sidewalk sale or whatever... Not saying don't go there

Re: “Where to get your vinyl for Record Store Day 2015

I don't understand why you would say don't visit a store because it's new? Groove Merchants is a collaboration of many different collectors and they buy used and new records on a weekly basis. I don't care if a record store is open a day, a week, or many years support vinyl.

No disrespect to the other stores mentioned they have been open for many years and are great places to get what you need or special ordered but so is Groove Merchant.

New business need are help not a ooooo pass on them cause they have not been open long enough.

Sorry for speaking my mind but it's how I feel towards this subject.

Enjoy tomorrow everyone
