Re: “Progress Report

Oh btw if the inlander really wanted to be hard hitting and relevant they would do an investigative xposa on her. Wow, head shaking, and laughable at the same time. It really would make you question anything and everything she has said or written while at the same time call into question how the inlander could allow themselves to be so easily foolled

Re: “Progress Report

All for a strong black middle class I have three mixed children myself. I of course want them to fulfill their dreams and be productive members of society. I don't hear from them about any issues due to the color of their skin other than black men constantly coming onto them despite the fact they are still children(that's called pedophilia btw). Fortunately they are smart and well grounded and aren't looking to be some random black guys 101st baby momma only to raise a child by themselves.

Re: “Signs of the Times

I work down there and I get the feeling that the kind of discount prostitution that goes on in this area is marginally legal or tolerated by law enforcement. I think hard drugs addiction is the main issue for most the streetwalkers. I'm not sure if there's anything another person can do for someone who is way deep in that trap but I'd like it if they weren't beaten, jailed, killed, or run outta town.

Re: “Don't Test Me

I find it interesting that someone in Spokane School District is speaking out on testing. When I worked for Spokane school District, use to test the student quarterly with district test, practice and more practice, than the state test and then the district test. No one spoke out about the testing. I was working in Steven Elementary where an instructional coach was preparing students for state test. After giving instruction teaching to students about writing, they start to work on the writing. I saw one student struggling and asked the instructional coach if I needed to work with the student. She said no go work with other students. He is going to fail we need to work with students who are going to pass. I've seen other incidents where students, especially special education students were being left behind.

Re: “Powering Up

As we age, our appetite decreases. This is why most of the seniors eat less protein. Somehow, there's also an impact when an elderly person loses appetite due to illness and side effects of medications. Lack in protein can affect the psychological system; this is one of the many effects when an aging person has protein deficiency. Keep in mind that protein strengthens the muscles, as it lessens the chance of falling. (Here's an article about Fall Prevention for Seniors in Long Term Care: Another fact is, research shows that people who are regularly consuming protein will have a longer lifespan.

Re: “Where to get your vinyl for Record Store Day 2015

They were simply saying that business isn't "participating" in the events by having a sidewalk sale or whatever... Not saying don't go there

Re: “Where to get your vinyl for Record Store Day 2015

I don't understand why you would say don't visit a store because it's new? Groove Merchants is a collaboration of many different collectors and they buy used and new records on a weekly basis. I don't care if a record store is open a day, a week, or many years support vinyl.

No disrespect to the other stores mentioned they have been open for many years and are great places to get what you need or special ordered but so is Groove Merchant.

New business need are help not a ooooo pass on them cause they have not been open long enough.

Sorry for speaking my mind but it's how I feel towards this subject.

Enjoy tomorrow everyone

Re: “Signs of the Times

Why are we not helping to keep these women safe by legalizing, regulating, and collecting taxes..If those measures were in place at least it would be safer than the environment they are forced to work in now. Nevada has a good regulation system in place, why are we not following suit, and i hear it already..sin this sin that..blah..thats between that woman and her maker, not you.

The Hanley's are Condones mouthpiece getting massive free advertising. The bookers are behind the businesses now instead of in front. You certainly don't need to go to Montana - where the men are men and the sheep are afraid.

Re: “Don't Test Me

How does Randy Dorn know the SBAC tests are better than any standardized test Washington has ever given before? This is the FIRST year all students have been given the actual tests!

Also, any colleges agreeing to let students miss remedial classes if they pass the SBAC could be setting themselves up for a load of trouble. Since the tests are new, no one knows how well they'll measure anything. I can't wait to see what happens with this change in college placement.

To all the students and parents opting out, thank you! Refusing the tests is the only way to shut this money-making scheme down.

Re: “Don't Test Me

As I was saying, regarding the Public Trust (just copied this from a facebook group posting)...:

My sources in Olympia tell me that the Democrats want the heat over the criminal activities of State Auditor Troy Kelley to be taken off of them and the Governor for the next 4 days to protect them and their criminal Democrat Auditor. He recently was indicted by a Federal Court for 10 counts of criminal activity, including tax evasion. Not so fast...

You may not know this, but just like Louis Lerner of the IRS and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Kelley had his staffer erase and destroy the files on a hard drive that the Feds believed may have had evidence to Mr. Kelley and his staffs criminal activity. Erasing records to hide the truth from Americans is quickly becoming the most used tool in the Democrat tool box.

It disgusts me that the position of Auditor is supposed to be the one office above reproach, and that we knew of a lot of these problems when he ran for office in 2012 and narrowly defeated an honest man, Mr. Watkins.

The Auditors office is tasked with shining the light on government in Washington, searching for negligent activity, waste, fraud, and abuse. This criminal activity calls in to question every audit ever performed under Mr. Kelleys watch and his association with his colleagues in the Democratic Party. If he hid this, what else is he hiding from us? What is he hiding for himself or his friends in office?

Many lawmakers are now asking Mr. Kelley to step down. But thats not good enough. Democrats knowingly pushed a man for high office in this state knowing full well his record and previous dealings. As we saw with Oregon's former Governor, who was recently kicked out of office, had shady dealings that spread its tentacles to Washington; we must call into question the integrity of all Democrats in high office in Washington and demand honesty and integrity!

Help me act! Share this to every corner of Washington and lets keep these politicians feet to the fire!

I'm calling for the public release of every email any Democrat in state wide elected office sent during their time in office to an independent ethics review board. You can also help by calling the Legislative Hotline and expressing your concern @ 1.800.562.6000

Re: “Don't Test Me

When government attempts to dissuade opposition by talking, exactly what is the basis of restoring trust?

Remember: "I am not a crook!"
Remember: "It all depends on what your definition of "IS" is.
Remember: "Your social security number will be private and never be used for anything except access to your account." [paraphrased]
Remember: "All the hard drives crashed and all the backup tapes have already been destroyed."
Remember: "I [name] do solemnly to uphold the Constitution..."

Yeah... your child's records are not being accessed and classroom videos are secure.... sure, the Public Trust is in good hands[!]

Re: “Don't Test Me

Please follow the money on Common Core. Pearson is a for profit company and so is Bill Gates Microsoft. This isn't about doing better for our kids. I refused for my child to take the practice tests and the SBAC in Idaho. Taking 8-20 hours of classroom instruction time away from teachers and students is beyond pale. No matter what state or school district you live in you have the right to refuse for your child to be tested. SCOTUS has upheld the 14th Amendment for parental rights involving their child's education.

Re: “Signs of the Times

The only way to fix this "problem" is to admit that consensual sex between two adults is no ones business but theirs. Whether money is involved or not. Tax and regulate. People are going to do what they want.Regulate and use tax income from it to curb human trafficking.
