Re: “Why Sen. Andy Billig voted against freezing the $2 billion class-size initiative

If he knew it was an issue, he should have brought it up at the meeting. He "assumed" they would talk about it later, and appears shocked that reality didn't line up with his baseless assumptions. Even worse, he tried to pass the buck and blame it on other legislators when he failed to make an adequate investigation into the issues.

I've seen too much shifting of responsibility from this guy. I've seen him speak in person. I liked what he had to say. I even voted for him.

But he's lost my vote now.

Re: “WW: Legal weed law tweaks good for pretty much all parties

Wait a minute. Does this article suggest that excessive rates of taxation can have adverse affects on an entire industry? Wow. Who could have seen that coming? Well, other than anybody who took a macro economics course in college, who could have seen that coming? On further thought, other than anybody who's ever tried to run their own business or taken a college macro economics course, who could have seen that coming. Well, then there's the people who've lived long enough to experience surges in the economy after tax cuts. So other than people who have lived a while, tried to run their own business, or taken a college level macro economics course, who could have seen that coming?

Re: “Hikes Every Local Should Do

Jerry, ALL users should look out for others on the trail. A hiker quietly walking and popping around the corner in front of a horse can cause a serious accident. If you hear a horse (or anyone else) around a corner or through the bushes, you really should call out and let them know you are there. Courtesy to ALL.

Re: “American Fabric

Why can't the President just issue some executive orders and outlaw the possession or display of the Confederate flag, or meetings where people espouse unpopular beliefs?

Re: “American Fabric

So now you're trying to pretend that your "accomplished nothing" comment was solely about helping blacks, when the very same sentence references the national debt, and before that you "pathetically" talk about terrorism and people supposedly laughing about dead soldiers.
Any thinking person realizes that the Republicans and Democrats of today have virtually nothing in common with those of the Civil War and the formation of the Klan -- if they did, the South wouldn't have switched from a heavy Democratic majority to a heavy Republican one.
And it's equally obvious to anyone who reads that Republicans have been the primary barrier to civil rights since the 1950s. And by the way, I didn't vote for Obama in 2012, either.
You also neglected to address other issues I cited, but considering that you apparently lack the honesty or reading comprehension skills to know even what you wrote, and that you continue to hide behind a pseudonym, I won't bother wasting more time on this comment.

Re: “American Fabric

How exactly does killing Bon Laden stop violence in the black community? Were they enraged over Bin laden?

Equal rights for gays reduces violence in the black community? Really?

Couldn't care less, no matter how it was expressed is the truth and you know it.

Poverty in America is at it's highest level since 1993 according to the federal government.

47,000,000 Americans are using food stamps, the highest level in history.

Black unemployment is twice the national average and has hardly improved since Obama took office.

Cry about the Civil War all you like, Republicans won it and freed slaves, democrats formed the KKK and fought Civil Rights.

Calling people names only makes you right when you are a blind party flunky. To the rest of the world, you are simply pathetic.

Re: “Hikes Every Local Should Do

Hike these year round - good descriptions! The Liberty Lake Loop actually has MANY options that includes some of the most beautiful scenery anywhere AND longer hikes from the "Loop" all the way to Mica Peak (20-22 miles) :)

Re: “Misdiagnosed

I would suggest everyone to get a second opinion just to be safe. I have used a second opinion service a few times and will continue to do so. For the time and price its well worth it. Very professional and saved me a bunch of money. They also gave me a coupon code to share “sy15" to take 15% off your entire order which should still work. I recommend getting a second opinion because it can potentially save your life.

Are any or all of these able to bring dogs on a leash? I'm sure I can look them all up but just wondering!

Re: “Hikes Every Local Should Do

In number 1, the Rocks of Sharon, you gave the following FYI: "The area is popular with mountain bikers, too. On corners, be careful, listen for bike traffic from ahead or behind, and always make your presence known. Make noise!"

Sorry, but no. I'll happily step aside to let bikers or horses by, but it is their job to look out for hikers.

Re: “American Fabric

Exactly the sort of rant we'd expect from a racist hiding behind a pseudonym -- thanks for helping prove the point of the article.

"No one cares" Actually, Obama has repeatedly addressed that exact issue -- while he was "doing nothing" other than implementing health care, killing Osama bin Laden, granting gays equal rights, and a host of other things that you may agree or disagree with.

"Paul Dillon could care less when muslims kill American soldiers" You probably mean "couldn't care less" -- assuming you knew what you were talking about in the first place.

"he probably sits snickering with his lefty buddies about how servicemen deserve to die" That's just a moronic statement. Outside of the extreme RIGHT-wingers of the Westboro Baptist Church, no one I know thinks servicemen deserve to die.

"from his tone, he feels Mr. Beltran deserved to be murdered by two thugs" Equally moronic. Have someone read and explain it to you.

"That is the single stupidest observation ever made." Congratulations; you've surpassed it repeatedly here. And by the way, the economy is considerably better than when Obama took office.

But when it comes time to whine about virtually anything, gutless anonymous conservatives are first in line. Happy Fourth; don't blow off a limb with your fireworks.

Re: “The Real Threats

@Muddydog... so the answer is "not having a standard and fair working environment and decent benefits for the marijuana worker" to keep the price of legalized pot low?? I think criminals and the cartels will always have a corner on the market for lower priced marijuana.. that is why it is called "the black market". Why do common individuals in this region always argue against their own self interests??

Re: “American Fabric

Every day in America, a black man kills a black man between 10 and 12 times and Obama does not care in the least. No one cares, especially this writer. Paul Dillon could care less when muslims kill American soldiers, he probably sits snickering with his lefty buddies about how servicemen deserve to die. Paul is dead silent when people of color murder cops and from his tone, he feels Mr. Beltran deserved to be murdered by two thugs, his sin? Whiteness.

"Slavery is in our DNA"? ARE YOU KIDDING? That is the single stupidest observation ever made.

With all of the problems in the world, what kind of idiot wants to revisit 300 years ago and accept blame for something he had utterly no part in? An idiot who voted for an idiot president who has accomplished nothing in SEVEN years except a $10,000,000,000,000.00 increase in the national debt. Anything to distract from actual issues and problems.

Do you know what is worse than someone owning a slave in 1850? 30% unemployment in the black community TODAY, the highest murder rate per capita in the nation TODAY and poverty at the highest rate in decades. You cannot fix a single thing, you do not want to even try.

But when it comes time to whine about a flag or whine about how people did it wrong in 1719,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,you are first in line.
