4,000 Holes is bigger than ever with more CDs, records and everything else under the sun. Obscure Beatles releases count among their biggest sellers. The self-described premier rock n' roll superstore, the shop specializes in all things rock. It could be time for a name change though, because there are clearly more than 4,000 albums for sale. Special orders are welcome.

With a total of seven pool tables, this bar is about two things: Drinkin’ and shootin’ pool. The Rail is dark, lit up mainly by pinball machines and the jukebox, but the food is tasty pub grub. Build your own burger ($8), or try the shake and bake sirloin steak ($9.50). Quench your thirst with a drink from the full bar while picking up a game of pool. (June 2013)

After a round of poker, relax among brass and dark wood columns in the casino’s adjacent lounge and family restaurant, where they serve up good burgers, sandwiches and build your own pizzas. While the poker room is brightly lit and bustling, the lounge is dimly lit and laid back, just the right ambiance to chill out and order a Long Island Iced Tea or a Mack and Jacks to soothe a poker loss or gear up for a win. The display case inside Alberta Bake Shop houses a selection of muffins, cookies, brownies and dense slices of apple cakes. Robie Calcaterra and her husband, Wayne, opened the bakery in the Shadle Park area in November 2013. Many of the recipes Calcaterra uses were passed down from aunts in her grandma's generation, and she uses local ingredients and items whenever possible, including Roast House coffee. (Nov. 2013)

The Northside Onion's bar had a brand new look with the new Area 51 Taphouse, but the most impressive addition is 51 taps, paired with 50 bottles and cans, bringing its drinking options to a grand total of 101. The state of the art tap system took three months to build, and auto-kills oxygen in the tap lines. A new, state-of-the-art bar top is also cooled to keep beers chilled, but warm near the edge so patrons' arms don't get cold. Forty-five of the 50 taps are set to rotate Northwest-centric beers.
