This city has a problem. There is an atmosphere of anti-business. Business people are always complaining how hard it is to operate a business here. The city councils are at fault but I feel it is deeper. There is an atmosphere of hating outsiders, of the new, of the different. Spokane needs to wake up.
These qualified, intelligent and conservative candidates have been left in the dust because they don´t agree EXACTLY with the local party. I think that is ridiculous. In every group there are varying beliefs. In the church there are different denominations which hold different priorities. In the end they all have the same basic goal, though. To completely reject someone based on not agreeing 100% is unrealistic. If that is your philosophy you will have few friends and influence no one. If you believe a certain way you SHOULD hang around people who have different viewpoints and have a conversation about it. Maybe you´ll win them to your side and you´ll see the reason why they believe what they do. Then when they see you´re not judging them they´ll be more open to what you have to say.
