Spokanecougar, You seem to have anger issues. But let´s see. As someone who has attended a tea party, I never voted for Bush - so I can´t take credit for any of that stuff. I oppose all bailouts - no matter who the president. The best income tax (if there is such a thing) would be a low, flat tax. But it will never happen. I oppose all welfare - whether for individuals or corporations - always have. And I don´t care what color the president´s skin is or what his or her appearance may be. But I do care about the policies. I opposed many of Bush´s policies - including the war - and I oppose many of Obama´s.
Say ddriver, I would love to have the option of ~not~ taking Medicare (or having to pay for it.) I don´t care about the NIH - prefer to eat and live healthy to avoid cancer - hope I can). As for "Meals on Wheels," it could have been done by the private sector and, in fact, uses volunteers. Title IX??? I don´t care. Homeschooled my daughters. The problem is that we have to pay for a bunch of stuff many of us don´t want but we don´t even have a choice. Roads and emergency services? Probably legitimate functions of govt.
