The whole article was extremely flawed in the fact that it does not say what the "victims" were doing prior to the police getting involved. Spewing only partial information does not give the complete picture. This is not journalism, this is yet another attack on our LEO´s. Prayers go out to all our Fallen Officers for they deserve so much more than just our "thanks".
August 6, 2001 | In an armed standoff, Officers James Erickson and Shane Oien shot and killed 34-year-old Tyrone Thomas in the Peyton Building downtown. Thomas had gone to the offices of the Hotel Lusso to see his ex-girlfriend, who was a sales manager for the hotel and had a no-contact order against him. Police say Thomas fired at officers first, and Erickson and Oien were awarded Medals of Valor by the Spokane Police Department in 2002.
EXCUSE ME!!!!!!!!! This individual did not go the hotel to SEE her, he went to KILL her. You really don´t have your facts straight on this one nor did you print the ENTIRE story. You say nothing of what he did PRIOR to going to the hotel, like the two people he tied up in the basement and who´s gun he stole and the fact that he was looking for this lady´s daughter before driving down to put a bullet in her!!
These articles are SO one sided it isn´t even funny. Print the entire story and get the FULL facts before leaching your disdain for people who go out every day to put themselves in front of any harm that may come your way. Officers are a rare breed and support them 100 percent.
