Many on here loves to take potshots under the cover of some fake name. I am not that kind of a coward and I am putting it right upfront. I am Glenn. (1) The quotes attributed to me were not put in the context I related to the writer. But that being said, that is the press for you. (2) By reading the posts that have been made online, it is clear to see where the negativity comes from. So be it.(3) Spokane Dance Company does not engage in the politics of the dance scene in Spokane. We teach dance for beginners through advanced and focus on that - not the politics of destruction. We have purposely removed ourselves from the hotbeds of politics and settled very comfortably into our roles as PROFESSIONAL dance instructors.(4) I stated, to Daniel Walters, that because of the economy, dance attendance is down. I also stated that the DANCE FADS have died out (as they always do). (5) THE TROPHIES. It has been often said that "those who have the most to say, know the least." It amazes me that anyone would make comments about "the trophies" without any knowledge of where they came from. I quit striving for trophies years ago and take great pleasure in watching my students earn trophies. The trophies in the windows and on the shelves in the studio belong to my students. They have asked to have them displayed and they are proud of them. NO ONE asked me anything about the trophies and shame on you people who disparage the accomplishments of others. (6) Spokane Dance Company wishes Simply Dance the best of luck in their endevours. Their chosen path is not our chosen path. Someday they will figure that out, but apparently not this day. (7) To the many people who have supported us over the years, and to all the new people who have come in as a result of the article, we thank you for your support, and as always, we will make sure you get the best training available in Spokane.
