Re: “Dance Off

re: NDCA as a former member 25 years. The NDCA does more than take your money. Do you not register to play golf, or pay membership to a country club? The board of professionals that run the NDCA are there to help and protect teachers and their students, competitions recognized by NDCA keep the good guys in and the bad guys out!. Not to long ago here in Spokane I reported a teacher for taking advantage of students and claiming he was a judge. I was recognized, remembered and respected by the board, a female champion, once my coach, my word and reputation put this guys name on the bad guy list and banned him from judging...maybe even competition.
If you have ever attended a competition recognized by NDCA you would know what a professional competition is really like. I´ve been told that Spokane has not had the same opportunities (ballroom training) that I have had back east and sorry to say; it´s obvious. And by the way ballroom = all ten dances Latin and Smooth. I think it´s time you all stop putting each other down. Like I´ve said before, the lack of ballroom training is hurting studios... and I just have to say this... you wouldn´t have to put on a shield to protect you or your students on the dance floor if you knew the steps and how to connect them around the floor. Good luck to all three studios here in Spokane...
