I started taking lessons in music at age 4 and performed with my instrument (to Jordy Byrd: What´s wrong with starting young if you know what you love to do at that age?) Now, 40 years later, I play a lot of different intstruments, had lots of experiences in the music business, and have enjoyed all the practicing and performances. Everyone has their story, each audition was unique. Some were outstanding! I´m definately going to the show at the Bing, because it will be a lot of fun entertainment. I thought the auditions were well run, from organization to the sound provided. Everyone I met from Red Eye Promotions was professional, and the performers were all very pleasant and encouraged each other. There is a special feeling at a contest that I wasn´t aware of (this was my first contest tryout); that everyone recognizes the vulnerability of being in the contest environment, no matter how seasoned the players, and they genuinely encourage each other. That is the greatest talent of all!I wish Jordy, that you could have seen the positives of the enviroment you were in, maybe gotten a litte history from one or 2 of the performers, and felt the energy of the moment, and the potential energy of the Spokane´s Got Talentshow at the Bing.
