I love the chocolate comparison but there wasn´t a great understanding of chocolate tasting going into this and so it is a shame you didn´t do your research for this very well. First, the Chocolate Apothecary is a retail store for chocolate. This means that they sell countless different chocolatiers bars, truffles, and candies, including the French Quarter´s truffles. The Chocolate Apothecary doesn´t make any of its chocolates - they have no chocolate making facility. So there should have been some clarity on whose chocolates you tasted from the Apothecary - was it Moonstruck? Was it Vosges? Was it Poco Dolce? Did you ask the staff which company made what chocolates or truffles? Also when tasting chocolates it only makes sense to compare truffles to truffles; caramels to caramels; or bars to bars; you can´t really compare them across types and have any accuracy. It would be great for you to attend a chocolate tasting at the Chocolate Apothecary or at Latah Bistro so you understood chocolate a little bit better going into this. You really made it confusing. Please do try it again soon though or at least clear up the confusion in the next issue.
