There is definately a rift between the dancers of Spokane. I´ve taken classes from Glen, and from Simply Dance Studio, and there is definately a different aproach to dancing. At Spokane Dance there is a very serious and almost inclusive additude. On one hand they are well trained, good teachers and I learned a lot from their classes, on the other I´ve walked out of a class feeling personally insulted by Glen and appauled at his stuck up additude and his comments of the "other studios in Spokane". At Simply Dance Studio I´ve always felt welcomed and enjoy my time there, but I won´t get the most structured instruction in group lessons. Private lessons are really the answer if you are serious about dancing, but most of us just don´t have that kind of money to train on a consistant basis. I´m frankly appauled at the additudes of so many of the comments here, but I understand where they are coming from. I have been told by other dancers that if it gets back to SpoCo that they were dancing at Simply that they are worried they will be banned or socially bannished. So many of Glen´s students carry this same stuck up additude, but the ones that don´t are great dancers. I wish the wrote more on the other studios in Spokane, I haven´t been to those yet.
