With regard to the "loaded question" about the efficiency of so-called "green schools," the Spokesman-Review ran an article about this subject. It was found that green schools were actually less efficient and using more energy than traditional school buildings. You can find the article by going to the following link: http://www.washingtonpolicy.org/publications/opinion/states-green-mandate-schools-proving-costly
I wonder if Mr. Herold every called Jennifer Walther to ask for her version of events. I'll bet not. He simply took what the Spokesman-Review wrote and embellished on it. Talk about plagarisim! I'll bet there is more to this story than meets the eye, but Mr. Herold simply decided to "Kick 'em while they're down." This is not reporting but repeating gosip as facts.
Mr Herold criticizes the debate questions, asking where was the proof for the facts in the questions. Where are Mr. Herold's footnotes and research about what he writes? Did he check to see whether the debate questions were factual? Not that I can tell. He simply assumed that all the questions were "loaded" and based on faulty facts. What ever happened to actual investigation and examining both sides? Apparently it's too much work. I'm really disappointed in the Inlander.
