Interesting thought on Graphotherapy. Graphotherapy is not merely used to help persons not take comments personally, it is actually therapy designed to change ones bad personality traits, by using exercises to improve ones penmanship. For example, if a person has low self-steem, this is generally reflected in their handwriting, with small letters expecially when writing their name. The exercise would be one of making large letters. It can be explained this way: "The underlying principal of thought may be explained this way. If your thoughts and emotions which transmitted through your motor reflex muscles help shape the size, form and pressure of your script then it is natural to assume they are interlinked with the mind". Mr. Glenwinkel might say his doodling is a form of Graphotherapy, and maybe it is, just one that I could not find published. I believe it is just an outward show of how little respect he gives the community when they are voicing their concerns. He likes to throw around "big words" and use intimdation tactics to get his points across, rather than using actual fact. For example, if you go back through his presentations throughout this debacle, you will see that they are not even consistent in the data he is using to push his points. That is beside the point. The K-8 plan has been implemented very poorly. He can pretend his data supports its success, but if it were not for the extra hard work of our teaching staff and the kids themselves you would see nothing but negative results. The kids are unhappy, and we are underutilizing the district resources, while spending money we don´t have. He took his previous school district into poverty, but lucky for them, he escaped to EVSD before he did any more damage. The spending our school board has been doing is irreprehensible! Hiring their spouses as consultants at $45.00 an hour, and later themselves, sure feels like a conflict of interest. Giving Glenwinkel raises and bonuses when our district is struggling is irresponsible.I believe that the school board does have good intentions. I think they have been led down a path by one with an ulterior motive. I think that pride has gotten in the way of good judgement. I just hope it is not too late to repair the damage that has been done to our district. As far as comments about people leaving our district. You can think that it is not true, but look at the data. I actually know several families who have moved out of our district because of our administration and what is going on here. One even left because he was harassed by the administrations leader! People are in fear of retribution. Teachers are in fear of loosing their jobs. There needs to be some accountability.
