Thank you Mr. Breen.
Good Attorney too. I was about three feet from him when he kicked the mod to the curb during "Meidl Faux-Forum One". Guy is quick.
Meidl has NOT apologized for the salute....he has explained why he saluted. He has not stated the salute was wrong, and he should not have done that. He has rationalized his behaviour. He acted without regard to the victim's family.
Meidl essentially claims he lacks basic situational awareness, preventing him from recognizing that the victims family, the press and the rest of the world were watching the display of intimidation and defiance by these thugs in blue.
Anyone lacking that basic commodity of situational awareness has no business with a weapon and unaccountability, let alone a leadership position over a gang of brutal, unaccountable thugs.
Meidl, to me, represents what is wrong and sick about and with Spokane Police Department. Either dis assemble the department and create a new department or bring in someone...a team of someones.....that can clean house and end this "solidarity"...the thin blue line of resistance....["They turned on us. We have to look out for each other; no one else cares about what happens to us"]. The "Us vs Them" is real. And Meidl is propagating it..
"The intent was to honor this person that we knew differently than how he'd been portrayed."
He portrayed himself for what he was when he beat an unarmed mentally handicapped man to death. By this reasoning, we should laud child molesters because of the good they do, aside from destroying children....?
I now know what I need to know about this acting chief.
Spokane Police spokeswoman Teresa Fuller
The cops have worked out a locker room tutorial to get around any consequences and / or negate the tracking process. They'd never agree to go along with it any other way.
And let's get real about something......the police don't do anything they don't want to do. Spokane doesn't have a few bad apples. It has a bad barrel of apples. Until the police guild is broken, there will be no accountability.
"City Spokesman Brian Coddington said he cannot comment on the specifics of the contract, adding, "What I can tell you is we are comfortable that the agreement is going to meet the needs of the community."Sounds like the vote on Proposition 1 was kicked aside, dismissed. The police, once introduced as public servants with the duty to protect and serve, has become an occupying force with no accountability and closely resembles a protection racket. The first thing bargained away was transparency. We don´t even know who is doing the bargaining, let alone what they are bargaining for, and how much of our rights are being traded away in the name of security. Sadly, our city council is made up of weak people, and it´s unthinking to put these unqualified people up against the thugs of the police guild. Like sending the church lady down to deal with MS-13.
