I assume the CDBG Dollars and the spending of them are available to the public? It would be awesome to see where these dollars go in the neighborhoods.
People will always want a hero. I do. Sometimes the distrust is just a lack of knowledge and a feeling within that knows that their vote does not count.
I remember years ago meeting Mr. Nethercutt at a very small political gathering of not more than 12 people. I shook his hand and he did not even look at me, even in this small group. I was so disappointed. Never voted for him again.
Sometimes it is the little things that matter most.
The seal-a-meal, baggies and scales are what pinched him for intent to distribute. Too, most certain a faux friend who reported him.
