I wonder if we got a statistician involved if we would find that 27 has any significance at all. Buddy Holly dead at 22. Elvis at 42. Aaliyah at 22, same with Eddie Cochran. Selena at 23. Jim Croce, Patsy Cline, and Andy Gibb all died at 30. Keith Moon died at 32 -- so did Karen Carpenter and Cass Eliot. I think people just die, we are very fragile. Some of us die at birth, some at every year from then til 101. Any statistician want to take this on? Or grad student? This is not to say I'm not fascinated by the idea of the Curse of 27, tho.
