Re: “Not in My Backyard

I was convicted of a felony 3 years ago and ever since then I have experienced discrimination and people looking at me as if im a monster or have no moral standards. It took me 4 months to find a place that would accept me as a tenant and i am internally grateful for those that give people second chances. The best medicine is encouragement and Terri gives that to these ex-prisoners. People change. I was convicted 3 years ago and am now graduating from college this June as a healthcare provider. The only way I have made it this far is because I had to push and push for what I wanted with accepting the no's and moving on. Integrity. It sure would have been a whole lot easier if I was accepted and encouraged from the beginning. I applaud what Terri does. You give these ex-prisoners hope. Keep at it girlfriend :)
