BEST ARTS FESTIVAL OF THE PAST YEAR - Art on the Green

Coeur d'Alene's annual arts festival on the North Idaho College campus is a three-day extravaganza of the visual and performing arts, spiked with a liberal dose of street fair food and farmers' market ambience. More than 135 artists participated last year, bringing pottery, jewelry, leather, watercolors, ceramics, photography, hats, weaving and more. Live music from Alex Bedini, Stefan Kosinski and Michelle Troise and Bakra Bata wafted through the pine trees, while 500 volunteers made sure the event was proceeding as planned. We're also excited to see that not only did ArtFest place high in this category, a brand new event, First Night, came in third.
