'My World 2.0,' Justin Bieber

Harden not your hearts to the Biebster.

Seth Sommerfeld
Harden not your hearts to the Biebster. While it’d be easy to be cynical and try to take down the teen pop star for being so popular — there’s just no reason. Though My World 2.0 is not designed to be listened to by anyone over the age of 18, it’s better than you’d think. At a time when most mainstream pop is either moronic (Black Eyed Peas), trashy (Ke$ha), or just plain bizarre (Lady GaGa), Bieber’s sweet voice belting out simple and entirely innocent pop is somewhat refreshing.

The weakest parts of the album come with guest vocalists (seriously, Ludacris?), but there are enough sleekly produced ditties, like “Somebody To Love,” to forgive the non-Bieber parts.

It may not be something you come back to often, but My World 2.0 is audio Listerine: It removes the dirty taste that the rest of pop radio has left in your mouth.
