I’m no critic, but it’s safe to say this isn’t Oscar-worthy cinema. This, my friends, is ski porn. It’s all about the eye-candy, the stoke-factor. And if vicariously filling your lungs with heavenly virgin air, descending from the sky-piercing peaks of the world on rumbling avalanches and living to brag about it gets you going, well then, please enjoy.
FLOW STATE
Call him the Hugh Hefner of innocent snows if you’d like, but Warren Miller has been doing this a long time. With its 63rd annual feature, Flow State, Miller Entertainment is at it again. And while Miller himself is no longer actually involved, his legacy is secure.
Flow State traverses a myriad of exotic and powder-lusting locales including Norway, Japan, Switzerland and Austria.
Hosted by Jonny Moseley, the film follows celebrated athletes including Colby West, Chris Davenport, Jess McMillan and David Wise. And if you didn’t know that ski ballet was a totally rad thing that people do, this film has that, too.

Old school mountain domination, some minor pyrotechnics and a whole lot of “I WANT TO SHRED NOW, DAMMIT” inspiration.

One of the latest films from Teton Gravity Research, The Dream Factory, explores America’s last frontier: Alaska. Following the footsteps of freeride pioneers Doug Coombs, Eric Pehota and Trevor Petersen, skiers Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, Seth Morrison and others take a “cinematic voyage through Alaska’s awe-inspiring expanse, rich history and colorful characters.” TGR’s other new feature, Further, follows ’boarder Jeremy Jones through some epic adventures.
