For all of you slamming SFCC, please remember that SFCC is an open access institution. That means anyone is free to attend. That means that Registered Sex Offenders may be in classes with this 12 year old, should she be allowed entrance. Even if a registered sex offender is not in her classes, she likely will be required to work in groups with men (and women) who will be in their late teens, twenties, thirties, forties. College professors do not "supervise" their students in the same way that K-12 instructors do. There is more for SFCC to consider when thinking about admitting a 12 year old than whether or not she is able to handle the content. Her potential interaction with her college-aged "peers" should be a concern as well.
