Havoc within Spokane Anarchy Wrestling

Posted by LEAH.SOTTILE at 01:28 PM on Fri, Aug. 06, 2010

art15294widea.jpgJohn Bacon, President of Spokane Anarchy Wrestling (who we wrote about in early July), called us today to let us know about the drama that's gone down since we wrote about his backyard wrestling group.

"There was a lot of tension in our ranks because of [The Inlander article]," he says.

In our piece on SAW, we highlighted one particularly explosive scene at this year's Wrestle Rave IV where the group was divided over a bloody fight. Those SAW members who were opposed to what was going on — particularly Porno Mike and Rusty (a referee) — have been "blatantly fired," he says. Bacon says he doesn't care about losing them as members and supporters — he and SAW's management are trying to take the group in a new direction.

"They didn't like not being able to do whatever they want," Bacon says. "They wanted to run things. With Porno Mike, it's always been very high tension."

Bacon says some of those wrestlers have threatened to start their own new wrestling organization. But he's not buying it.

"It's all a bunch of mumbo jumbo."

Spokane Anarchy Wrestling will host its first in-ring event at the Cretin Hop on August 29 alongside local Juggalo record label, Chop Meat Records. And Bacon says SAW is in talks with Spokane Boxing. Their goal is still to see SAW move out of the backyard.

First of all neither Mike nor Rusty wanted to run things. They just wanted you to run things better, John. Secondly, they didn´t have any problems with cooperating with everyone for the greater good of the show. However, Mike did not like matches being changed right before the match was suppose to happen. He also disliked how biased in favor of juggalos everything was becoming. There´s almost always been tension between Mike and those around him. I also understand he can be abraisive, intense, and very outspoken. However, I also know that what he says he says it for a reason and with real though behind it unlike yourself. Furthermore, Neither Mike nor Rusty threatened anything. They are however making motions to start their own wrestling organization that will also operate as a fundraising organization for shriners and/or other community programs to help children and families. S.A.W however, has created a negative reputation for itself by having chimos around not to mention the weed and pipe sales held recently. The sad thing is that none of you guys think about how any of that might affect your own kids if the police do show up; which they have been well known to do occasionally. Finally, it´s kind of hard to fire someone when they are freely and willingly volunteering their time for your show; and especially when neither Mike nor Rusty were under contract.
